And to top it off.. None of the men accused of rape were arrested, Amnesty International said.:o

Well doing that would remove the girl of any wrongdoing and make her murder 'unjustified'. :\

It's horrible but not surprising. I wonder though if she was married, because they called it adultery.

muslim countries consider adultery as premariatal sex, not as we see it as cheating on a spouse.

That is odd because it is clear as day in the Quran and hadiths that the punishments are different between adultry and pre-marital sex. Most muslim countries do differentiate except the most backwards ones like Pakistan, Somalia, Afghanistan, etc. From what I have seen even Saudi doesn't usually allow death as a punishment for pre-marital sex though some families will take matters into their own hands.

well i am married to a muslim and this is what he calls adultry.

I am a muslim and married to one. I've also spent years studying middle eastern history, language and culture. I think the problem is that adultry and fornification are often mixed into one word called Zina in arabic. Here are a couple of website links that explain further for you. It is obvious in the second link that the punishment is different between adultry and fornification (pre-marital sex). The first link provides an explanation of what Zina is. I hope this helps :)

Interesting. Just clear something up for me will you, S&S? Do you, as a muslim, condone/agree with the punishments outlined in the first link?

Did you not bother to read my other comments from before? Can you actually think any decent woman in this world would condone such actions? Trust me, I would kill these guys in a more brutal fashion than you could imagine if I had the chance. Hurting innocent people truly gets me angry like nothing else will.

The information above was my way of explaining the girl shouldn't have been punished by death in the first place according to Islam. In fact, she shouldn't have been punished at all, but this is the punishments and explanations for each if someone was guilty. Most muslim countries don't even go by this system anymore as it is outdated. It would be like looking at the punishments listed in the bible and saying those must be used.

This type of thing is sickening to me.

Where are the "Diversity is our greatest strength" crowds when these topics are raised?

Do you think those who embrace such things are not being imported in our country every day?

Regardless of beliefs, no one is getting stoned to death here. So this fear of yours is unsubstantiated.

I would love to find these guys that run around stoning people and put them in the ground and stone them! See how they like that! I am sure most of these guys have committed far worse sins than this girl ever thought of yet they think they have some right to judge.

Perhaps you would like to comment on the female circumcision.. haven't we had cases of that ?

No, and no. That's why I asked before jumping to conclusions. Thanks for clearing that up.

We've also had male circumcisions.

Would you like to make illegal both of them? I'm all for that. Sounds perfectly fair.

Still have yet to answer who's getting stoned to death here.. waiting..

If people like "that" are getting "imported" into this country, we should be seeing the results. Where are they? Or is this simply another Danno rant about nothing of substance?

Is their a Doctor in the house?

Q:Are home-made female circumcisions comparable to male Circumcisions which are done by medical professionals?

Are they even done for the same reasons?

SRVT... again you are talking out your gas-pipe.

Here's the gas pipe for ya..

What's the premise of both male and female circumcisions? Inform me on the history of them and what beliefs they are rooted in. You'll notice a recurring theme.
