Originals for the interview

Hello All,

For the interview of CR1 visa, should the beneficiary have originals for the following or a photocopy will do.

1) I-130 Approval notice (Very hesitant to mail original due to chance of getting lost)

2) Boarding passes of the petioner

Please advise.

1) A photo copy is fine, though they WOULD NOT be doing an interview if I-130 were not approved.

2) Copies are fine, Goes to show relationship evidence.

Copies are fine. Provide lot of proof of relationship that is important.

Looking at your timeline your I-130 was approved in 28 days. That is supra fast. Did you ask for expedite?

Copies are fine, she can hold original to sow incase they ask for it but on no account should she leave her originals for them... she ll never get it back!

They should already have the orginals that you sent to the NVC.

I would just get copies just in case, like some said. My lawyer sent me good copies of everything sent to the USCIS and NVC.

Like someone said earlier, proof of relationship is what you most have to be armed with. (Letters, phone bills, joint docs, wills, insurance paperwork, travel boarding passes, etc.) That is what I am getting together now. I want to leave no stone unturned. Leave no doubt that you two are married for better or worse

That along with the medical packet, passport photos and passport.

Just as a follow on here,

we've just had our case completed at NVC this week, and our letter from NVC states that all the required documents have been submitted (police certs, marriage cert, passport info, and all forms). Does that mean that for my interview I just need to bring:

Proof of relationship

Passport

Passport photos x 2

Medical Certificate

The guides suggest bringing copies of submitted I130, 1864, DS230, but as our letter stated they already have that, do I just forget being overly cautious? Load up on proof of relationship instead? The reason I ask is that my wife has just left the US today to come visit me in Ireland, and is not due back until January - and, of course, she has all the copies in her apartment!! Sods law.

I just updated our timeline tonight so it's not showing yet. We are pursuing CR1, which is why I'm posting here. Interview due in Dublin.
