No - it's just that the Democratic Party is a big tent. You don't have to be a Christian to be a Democrat but if you are, it's ok too. It's the Party of inclusion.

You don't have to be a Christian to be a member of any political party.

The Republican Party over the last 8 years has tried to define itself as the Christian Party...the party of Family Values. Part of Karl Rove's genius was his ability to keep the GOP united, in spite of the exclusionary views of the Christian Right. It was an exclusion based on moral turpitude.

The very last words I want to hear out of any politician's mouth are about his religion - whatever it may be.

PEOPLE: READ THE APPLICATION FORM INSTRUCTIONS!!!! They have a lot of good information in them! Most of the questions I see on VJ are clearly addressed by the form instructions. Give them a read!! If you are unable to understand the form instructions, I highly recommend hiring someone who does to help you with the process. Our process, from K-1 to Citizenship and U.S. Passport is completed. Good luck with your process.

I was reading CNN article yesterday about Obama winning and there were a bunch of comments from people. And one of the comments was from someone who voted for Obama but now was thinking that it was a bad idea. The reason? Because Obama didn't thank god during his speech when he won. They felt that was an ill omen because any good Christian would have thanked god for their success.

Good grief. As if he must thank God out loud. Crazy.

:wacko: This is one of the places where I, as a conservative Christian, find myself parting ways from many of my Christian brothers and sisters....
