I think they should get a Pit Bull and name it "lipstick".

a 'pound' puppy:-). Actually, I heard an interesting response to that question today on the radio - a rescue greyhound. For all of their size they are pretty good indoors, quiet, gentle and you can't really trip over them:-)! I saw a really great mix the other day at a yard sale that I would recommend - a cross between a lab and a standard poodle. It was a lovely dog, super friendly, intelligent, a coat that was longer than a poodles but not as curly and about the same size as a standard. Not a cross I would have thought to try, but one that apparently works really well.

But, when all is said and done, I hope they find their new puppy at an animal shelter and encourage others to support their local shelters as well.

“...Isn't it splendid to think of all the things there are to find out about? It just makes me feel glad to be alive--it's such an interesting world. It wouldn't be half so interesting if we knew all about everything, would it? There'd be no scope for imagination then, would there?”

Kathryn, that is what is known as a Labradoodle. They are supposed to be awesome.

I would suggest a cocker spaniel. I had one for 12 years - best doggie ever. Blondie. Still miss her.
