It seems unclassy of the folks that put her into the spotlight to now be turning on her. Shouldn't THEY have done their homework on her prior to all of this?

Wise words sister. It cannot be that everyone knew she was way below average but them. Come on. Tina Fey would have done a better job than her, hands down.

Come on lucky, that's pretty lame. After all the bluster and protestations, you're gonna act like this is a trivial matter?!

Get over it. They lost.

Edit: I'm more upset that McCain kept referring to Pangea.

Yeah, and by the way, the woman who almost became vice president didn't know jack shiite. Let's not forget the GOP's colossally poor judgement. America was almost hoodwinked again!

But when we turn to the Hebrew literature, we do not find such jokes about the donkey. Rather the animal is known for its strength and its loyalty to its master (Genesis 49:14; Numbers 22:30).

I wonder (today) if these two were picked to lose the election.

What Republican candidate "should" have been chosen?

They certainly should have vetted Palin properly (and if they had I can't see why they would have selected her) which makes me feel that the selection was a cynical one - based more on Palin's hockey-mom image than on her level of knowledge. That's not her fault really (though it does illustrate the between small-town (or small state in this case) politics and the national stage) - but I think it would have been more respectable if she had simply declined the nomination when it was offered.

Now she's being blamed for the loss - which will likely have implications for her career in future. That isn't fair - but noone forced her to play high stakes poker with her political future.

It's true, it now seems like they picked her as a gimmick to win over a certain group of voters, which is worse than properly vetting her and making a misjudgement.

As for her accepting the job, you definitely have a point...

But how could she have said, "no." She might have even demurred, but it's probably pretty hard to decline when the Republican Political Machine is saying you're the one...

It just seems like this year the whole RNC was a disorganized mess... like they hadn't properly prepared for anything...

More question...

is this Fox's attempt at more sensible reporting?

I'm highly impressed.

The guy didn't yell or tell anyone to shut up even once.

Wow!

I wonder (today) if these two were picked to lose the election.

What Republican candidate "should" have been chosen?

Romney would have had credibility on the economy.

Al Hayat Zween has more stamps in her passport, and would have won over independents, immigrants, and Muslims...

oh wait... Muslims

Yes.

There were "better" candidates available.

What does this all mean???

Please, no need to answer.

What do you base that on? He certainly didn't do much for Massachusetts!
