Hi,

My application was also transfered to California. Good news is it didn't slow anything down at all and may have even speeded things up.

I did have a RFE which slowed things down however, but after we gave them that it all started to spped up real quick. Always remember that the USCIS is the slowest part (mine took about 4-5 months). The NVC and Embassy is under 2 months I have my interview on the 13th June!!!

Best thing to do is wait it out and try not to stress, if you get a RFE then give them more than they need.

Wow! good luck on your interview!

I hope as in your case, it does actually speed things up for us. Just kind of grates that if things had continued as they were when I originally filed, we would be getting out NOA2 sometime this week. Now, we just have no clue when to expect it.

Like others, I just got triplicate emails today from NSC stating my K-1 case has been transferred to CSC. I was on file at NSC 3-6-06 and was looking at an estimated 6-15-06 notification. Now, as I read it at CSC I've probably lost 2-3 more weeks at best, or (worst) does anyone know if the transfers are going to the bottom of the pile in California? Ouch.

We just received a NOA1 and I think we were moved to CSC.

I have not received a notice, but they cashed my check. The same day they cashed my check, I got the mail and received what I think is an NOA1. (Is the NOA1 just noted as a "Receipt Notice": in the "Notice Type" box?)

The NOA1 had a return address of the CSC, even though I just filed at the NSC.

I just created an account at the USCIS using the number on the NOA1, and the "last updated" date on the account was today. Is that a "touch"?

The received date on my NOA1 is May 22, and the notice date is June 1.

Regards,

Michael

It looks like you filed at Nebraska (correctly) right when they were shifting to California. So your NOA - the receipt notice - ended up being generated by the CSC rather than NSC. Your "last updated" was a touch to reflect the trnasfer.

Hey! Read about them maybe transferring files on the USCIS website. If you look at one of the latest newsletters it mentions that. Maybe its to distribute the back up or they are changing jurisdictions with the new upcoming form. But I distinctly remember saying it's ok to send it to where it says on the old I-129F form and that they will just send it on to the proper place, no problem. Think of it as a good sign that they are starting to process the files now (also notice on the I-129F form that it says in the corner it is good until 6/30/06...) I am filing next friday with the old form. I figure they look up our FBI record anyway, then they will see I have nothing they are looking for.
