We need to bring the Buffalo back so we can eat it instead of the fake Buffalo, known as Buffalo Wings.

I'm quite shocked!!! You SHOULD know that there are a herd of them at Fermi Lab, shouldn't you?

More accurately, they are bison, but still...

I heard he got banned from that facility. Something about not getting along with Heisenberg. Argonne otoh...

omg I want to walk around with dinosaurs! HELLS YES!

Oh wait... not just any dinosaurs, the nice ones like the brontosaurus and other veggie eaters.

You mean you don't want to go on a velociraptor hunt? Boo hoo!!

Wishing you ten-fold that which you wish upon all others.

watch your step. :hehe:

Yes I thought of that and I came up with giant discs that we can all wear on our heads... they're electric and any time a giant dino foot gets near the dinosaur will get a massive shock and fall to the ground seizing and roaring! And they won't want to step on us again. ;)

Peace to All creatures great and small............................................

But when we turn to the Hebrew literature, we do not find such jokes about the donkey. Rather the animal is known for its strength and its loyalty to its master (Genesis 49:14; Numbers 22:30).

It seems to me like some way of trying to show certain religious people that evolution happened. Nothing will convince them of this. The only thing this would accomplish bringing extinct animals back into an environment they likely cannot survive in, or would greatly upset the balance of. The air is different today than back then, the land is different, the environment is different.

I believe it is as possible to resurrect extinct animlas as surely you manage to resurrect the same arguments regardless whether it has anything to do the subject. I doubt the Japanese scientists are trying to clone extinct animals to refute creationists there are few Christians in Japan. Most of hardcore anti-cloning people seem more like environmentalists than fundementalist Christians.

Most of animals would survive knowing that most died off due to either climate change or asteroid impacts. They could as easily survive in different environments because there are lot of types of climates but if they bred successfully they could upset the local environment or introduce diseases we know nothing about.

So I guess all the hub-ub of anti-cloning, similarly to anti-stem cell research, is from environmentalists..

It's not to say environmentalists are the most sane people either, but they're a bit more receptive to science than the idealist fundies.

I think the stem cells are sometimes "harvested" from human fetuses so some Christian types get upset but the Bible says something about man having dominion over all animals and turning them into hamburger if need be. It's the Earth First crowd that destroys research labs and other freelance nuts who burn down homes to stop development in places with trees. If it comes to cloning humans, the Christians may get pissed.

they're extinct for a reason. they shouldn't mess with nature. we're all gonna die someday because of it.

There are some animals that are extict becasue of human - I hope these are the ones they try first..

Hiya Anya!!! :star:

Hi Sista

I think they should start at Caspian tiger - I just love this big cat :luv:

There are a lot of endenger species that the closning can help to maintain the healthy population - especially those tigers and lions that people perdict will be extict in 10 years. I think it'slbe very useful for wild life the most.

The only problem is that the conditions which caused/are causing the loss of species, continue to exist. The problems caused by humans encroaching on the habitats of wildlife aren't getting better. It would just become a cruel and futile exercise until we fix those problems. :(

Hmm. Well we'll have to feed them pink and purple dye so that when they go doo-doo it at least looks fun enough to let the kids play in.
