I've seen tongue in UK supermarkets. Never really been inclined to try it - its a bit too *real* looking.

BTW - have you see Fast Food Nation? The slaughterhouse scene at the end of it is incredibly disturbing...

Truth be told it dissolves very well in the Colombian dish known as mute. It leaves behind a heavenly consistency close to the fat in pork rinds. Chicharrón ftw.

What is this thread about? HAL 9000 is preparing several presentations and has little time to read back.

Wishing you ten-fold that which you wish upon all others.

The slaughterhouse thing is the *best* (or worst) bit in it. They just went into a slaughterhouse and filmed the people at work - you see everything: how they're killed, dismembered, skinned, disemboweled etc. You even see the flayed heads that are boiled down for the meat used to make fast food burgers.

It was on in a motel we stayed at a while ago and we switched on about 10 minutes from the end. Didn't go out for dinner after that..

the best way to drink tequila for me is pour some tequila in a glass and mix it with grapefruit soda and some lime juice (the best grapefruit soda is Squirt, but the mexican one, which is more acid than the american versions) it tastes great

That stuff makes me crazy.

Only THAT makes you crazy???? :jest:

An acquired taste indeed. I read that if you try something you don't like a minimum of 7 times, your taste buds will get used to it and you will start to like it. Happened to me with coriander/ cilantro.

Yeah, me too. I hated that stuff when Javi and I first started dating. It's not so bad now. The problem is, menudo seriously does taste like $hit. I'm not just putting on to be funny. No way I'd eat it 7 times just to get my taste buds used to it. Nope, no thank you.

Just couldn't stay my @ss away!
