Nothing makes my blood boil than a person with a cell phone pasted to their ear and slowing traffic down. Something deep inside me goes off, if I was armed there would be a dead bodies. I wish sometimes I had a big tank and just run right over them, what the hell could be so damn important that you MUST TALK ON YOUR NOISE MACHINE???????????????????????????

Maybe they have a sick child or parent.

Maybe they were laid off from their job today.

I don't actually think people should drive and talk on the phone, but maybe if you have a little more compassion towards people you might not want to run over them with a tank.

Then how about they pull off of the damn road?!!! Ever consider THAT option?! :protest:

On military installations, it is illegal to drive with a cell phone, unless you are using a "hands free" cell phone.

probably "boys" or "lipstick". ;)

I don't like drivers who pay attention to the phone more than the road. I gave an opportunity for the driver to turn at the intersection, but, she didn't see me. And, I also noticed she was talking on the phone. So, I said screw it. However, when she made the turn I didn't give her any more oppportunity to turn because her time was up. So nearly crashed into me! Just a few more inches.

that sucks, these people don't realise how terrifying it is when you experience a near miss!

just recently an older lady who was reading a newspaper while driving almost drove into us! if we hadn't have seen her and beeped the horn a billion times she would have driven head-on into us in her suv.

it is illegal in the uk to use your hands to talk on a phone while driving, so they say you must either pull over or at least use a hands free kit so that both of your hands are on the wheel. if only it was implemented in the states.

I don't use a phone and drive - bloody difficult thing to accomplish with a manual. Wouldn't anyway, I don't have a fixation with being on the phone. Most of the time my cell phone has no battery power because I forget I have it.

I have no interest in the 'mysteries' of area 51 either. I really can't imagine why aliens would behave in the way people seem to think they do.

I saw the moon landings when I was a kid. I believed them then and I have no reason to believe they didn't happen now.

Refusing to use the spellchick!

I have put you on ignore. No really, I have, but you are still ruining my enjoyment of this site. .

that is very true. so if men had boobs they'd get discount on their insurance premiums too? even if they drive like complete morons and the argument of them being more "safe" was just lies?

Yes, because boobs are just as good as air bags. :P

Well it's illegal in some states like NY but rarely enforced. I would pay money to see some douchebag handcuffed and bent over on the hood of his Land Rover for using the cell phone while driving!

I was actually shocked that up until quite recently it was legal to drink and drive in one of the States (Montana I think?)

Cell phones are a dangerous distraction - pretty much every time I have a near miss its because of that. What's worse is that the people doing it are so distracted that they don't realise that they almost caused an accident.

Out here in NJ we just have a lot of bad drivers - even without the cell phones coming into play. On two separate occasions I almost rear-ended another car on Route 22, because some idiot couldn't change lanes in time to make the U-Turn exit and rather than drive to the next one and turn around - had the genius idea of stopping in the outside lane until a gap opened up on the other side.

I've also seen a fair few drivers forgo merging into lane and just doing a hard left turns across traffic so they can get to the outside. All on a 45mph dual carriageway. Its nuts!
