Is anyone having trouble contacting the US Embassy in Manila? I call the number and it just goes silent. I've been able to get a hold of them before. This has been relatively recent and was wondering if anyone else is having the same issue.

I can't even get the recording at the beginning that asks for the extension number in the first place. When i call (63-2)301-2000 there is no ring at all. I could swear i use the exact same number and got through.

i will just inform you tonight how did my husband contacted the embassy in manila and i will post the number he used to dial ....hope u can wait...but in the meantime just try to look at the site of US manila embassy and look for another number..

I have dialed the embassy number ( 011-632-301-2000 ) 100 times I think in the past couple weeks and only gotten thru a few times.

When the phone is silent, just either means all international lines are busy, or the Embassy is getting too many calls to answer with their automated system.

Just keep hitting the re-dial button. I tryed calling the other night for about and hour, non stop re-dialing and still never got thru, then another time only dialed once (got lucky)
