hey,

where is it located on a F1 visa?

is it the red number?

12/01/2008 - Sent Aos (I-130, I-485, I-765..)

12/03/2008 - package received

12/11/2008 - checks cashed

12/15/2008 - NAOs received dated 12/10/08

12/20/2008 - biometrics letter received dated 12/12/08

12/27/2008 - biometrics appointment @12:00pm----> Done.

02/02/2009 - NAO 2 received for initial interview dated 01/27/09

02/23/2009 - EAD received

03/11/2009 - Interview appointment @ 1030am----> Approved

03/16/2009 - Received welcome letter and e-mail from CRIS stating: Card production ordered

03/23/2009 - Received Green Card in the mail

Nope the A# is not given to an F-1 student until he/she receives the OPT card and it's clearly shown as A#, even that one will be different from the one on the green card. At least mine wasn't the same.

06/05/10 Real GREEN Card RECEIVED!

01/17/13 Sent application for US Citizenship!!!

01/19/13 Arrived to Arizona Lockbox

01/24/13 Notice of Action

01/25/13 Check cashed

01/28/13 NOA received by mail and biometrics letter mailed as per uscis.gov

02/14/13 Biometrics appointment

03/18/13 In-line for inteview

Non immigrant number is different than the Alien number.

Non immigrant number is the red number on your entry visa in your passport.

AOS Approved on 10-17-08 (details in profile)

Removal of Conditions on 07-19-10

In this tedious process, we tend to forget that this is all worth it.

I love my hubby beyond anything in this world.

Shoot, She was asking for the NON immigrant #, I read it as "No" immigrant number as if she didn't have one :P sorry!!
