It is an incomplete submission -- he must include tax returns, a letter from the bank, and a letter from his employer, as per the instructions.

He should definitely include at least one complete tax return or transcript. The best practice is to include three years. If income is sufficient though, he can simply leave blank all asset related questions and skip any letters from banks or other asset related documentation. Employer letter is a good idea but not critical if there are three years taxes.

pushbrk - what would you consider CRITICAL as far as financial evidence goes at the interview? I was going to bring 1 year tax trascript and employee letter. Anything else?

I would add at least a couple recent pay stubs.

I don't know. How WOULD that work. I had pay stubs for my I-134 but am on 1099's now. I don't get "checks", just direct deposits, so if I were doing it again today, I'd include some bank statements.

PushBrk-

If income of the petitioner is sufficiently above poverty level (assuming poverty level is 15,000-17,000?) do we need to fill other parts for affidavit of support such as

1. Stocks, Bonds - I do have some of these

2. Bank statement - easy to get

3. House - do we need any proof for the value?

4. Mortgage on House - easy to get this as well, since it is a part of my bank. Thanks.

9/19/2008 - Mailed I-129F by USPS Priority

9/22 - Mail reached USCIS - CSC

9/23 - Check Cashed

9/23 - NOA1 Notice Date (now wait and pray that NOA2 should come soon!!)

9/27 - NOA1 received by mail

9/29 - Touched (probably to correct typos)

9/30 - Touched

1/14/2009 - NOA2 approved

1/20 - NOA2 hard copy received

1/22 - NVC received petition

1/26 - NVC sent petition to Embassy

1/29 - Received NVC Hard copy

1/30 - Embassy received petition

2/3 - Received P3 from Embassy

2/3 - P3 sent by Courier from India

2/10 - Confirmed that P3 is in embassy's system (called embassy, DOS)

2/23 - Called DOS - Got interview date verbally

3/9 - Medicals Completed

3/31 - Interview Successful

4/3 - Received Visa

4/20 - Arrival

When income is clearly sufficient, you may simply leave blank all asset related questions on the I-134 or I-864.

Comfortably above the 125% of poverty level for your household size. Simply Google "125% of poverty level".
