One little question guys and gals:

What is the email address that sent your notifications for case status (like the processing of EAD, AP, green card, etc)? I am going crazy looking into the spam folder at each email to see if there is something from USCIS or not. I would rather add it now to my contacts and skip the spam:)

Don't forget, you have to be signed up on their website to receive the emails... :)

Oh, I am, and I used to check the status like every 1 hour or so :)

11/17/08 : Application sent (I-130, I-131, I-485, I-765)

11/18/08 : Official receipt of documents stated on I-797C (Signature for receipt at USCIS was on 11/17/2008 at 10PM)

11/28/08 : NOA Received ( I-797C) for all 4 forms (forms issued on 11/26/2008)

12/18/2008: LUD on I-130, I-131, I-765

01/29/2009: Bio done

01/29, 30/2009: LUD on I485 and I765

2/10/2009: issued AP, valid 1 year for multiple entries.

2/23/2009: Got EAD card

3/8/2009: LUD on all applications. Shows approval of I131 and I765, still pending on I130, I485.

04/28/2009 at 9:30 AM: Interview. Told to wait 90 days for a resolution by mail.

05/01/2009: Card production ordered.

05/06/2009: Received approval NOAs for I130 and I485 (welcome notice, 10 years card). I130 still shows case received and pending.

06/18/2009: got the 10 years validity card. Process length: 213 days since sending the applications.

No RFE at all along the process.

Okay, just checking. ;)

Now that I have the AP in hand, and the status online has not changed since December 18 (still pending :))), I will perhaps check the mail box regularly rather than the website :)) And, since we are on the top floor, I'll take the stairs and maybe shred some fat off my a$$ in the process:))

I applied for my SSN yesterday and I went there back this morning to ask for a copy of my SSN. I was told by the lady that my SSN will become available after 2 days but when I called this morning, I was told that it was on their system already! More than 1 hour of waiting sucks!

But who's gonna file taxes and get the GC one day sooner? ;) By the way, last year hubby and I filed taxes jointly, as married, and I had an ITIN for it. We did not qualify for the stimulus check, because at the time of filling I had no SSN (hubby had GC back then). So, if there will be such a stimulus check this year, you and your spouse will probably get it.

Can we file our federal tax return electronically? I tried to file our tax return on Friday Feb 13 and it was rejected. It says that " The secondary taxpayer's (myself) Social Security number and last name do not match what the IRS has in its records. The IRS receives this information from the Social Security Administration (SSA).

Do you think I'm not eligible to file my return electronically even my wife is the primay taxpayer? Or my SSN is not yet available in IRS system? I just applied for my SSN last thursday Feb 12 and got my SSN prinout on Feb 13 and filed our return electronically.

What do you think guys?

The IO wanted to see the email confirmation that our federal tax return has been accepted. If we mailed our return, it will be hard for us to get the confirmation from IRS if our return has been accepted or rejected....

It's probably not yet matched up in the IRS system. My guess is you'd have to wait until at least 2 weeks have passed after getting your SSN before you can file electronically.

Hello Guys!I am a late November filer ! I just wanted to let you guys know that my last touch on the EAD was on 12/25/1008 and yesterday I got the card in the mail without receiving any updates on the uscis.gov website. I registered to receive updates but I only received an update on the AP but not on the EAD. So getting my employment card yesterday was a huge surprise for me. Please guys keep the hope alive and be positive:) Don't trust too much on the status updates and always check your mail:) God bless!

Meanwhile, I filed Nov 3 and still do not have the interview letter. Being paranoid about it getting lost in the mail.

Does anyone know what happens if you miss your interview because you never got the notice? Is there a way to find out if the notice was sent? (Nothing online since biometrics).

Anyway, I'm probably just freaking out for no reasons and the letter will be here anyday, but am still curious what you all think.
