I am very happy and lucky today. In the morning, I got my EAD in the mail finally and just in time. Because in the afternoon, I took the road test and I needed the EAD for DMV to issue me the Driving License. So now I have my EAD and my Driving License. :dance::dance::dance:

I still need to go to our local DMV and get that process started, I wont lie to you all, I'm a bit nervous, I need to get some parallel Parking lessons from my husband! :P

You can look for tips on how to parallel park in youtube. Then apply what you have watched on a clear, deserted road. But I doubt if the examiner will ask you to do that in the test. They are more concerned of how safely you drive though. They will take particular note of how you change lanes, turn left on a "Yield on Green" sign, turn right, spacing (making sure you have enough gap between your car and the car in front of you), how you observe for traffic and pedestrians crossing. They are taking note if you know your right of way. They will ask you to do backing and then how you go into a through traffic.

Oh wow thank you for the tips! My husband says that I am overall a very careful driver, so hopefully I just have to get confident at parallel parking and get my license! I'm going to :dance: when I get it!

Mostly, I want to assume my driving responsibility. My husband has been driving everywhere! I should share the driving too.

I got my EAD in the mail today too! Now off to the social security office, and on to the job search!

Dave&Evan, how was your biometrics yesterday??

it was good, we arrived 2 hours earlier than my schedule, the security just let us in 15mins before our appointment. It went well overall, the lady who took my picture and fingerprints was nice and friendly. Their office address didn't show up on our GPS, so we just drove around the block, until we saw USCIS arrow signs.

My I485 was touched today :yes:

11-12-2008 Sent AOS, EAD, AP via USPS

11-13-2008 USCIS received the papers @ 3pm!

11-20-2008 3 NOAs

11-24-2008 check cashed

01-05-2009 Recieved Biometrics Letter on mail

01-12-2009 AP approved! / EAD touched

01-29-2009 Biometrics Done

01-30-2009 AOS Touched

03-09-2009 EAD Card Production ordered

My I485 was touched today :yes:

Mine too, both on Thursday 29th, and again on Friday 30th:) I hope for good news soon :yes:

11/17/08 : Application sent (I-130, I-131, I-485, I-765)

11/18/08 : Official receipt of documents stated on I-797C (Signature for receipt at USCIS was on 11/17/2008 at 10PM)

11/28/08 : NOA Received ( I-797C) for all 4 forms (forms issued on 11/26/2008)

12/18/2008: LUD on I-130, I-131, I-765

01/29/2009: Bio done

01/29, 30/2009: LUD on I485 and I765

2/10/2009: issued AP, valid 1 year for multiple entries.

2/23/2009: Got EAD card

3/8/2009: LUD on all applications. Shows approval of I131 and I765, still pending on I130, I485.

04/28/2009 at 9:30 AM: Interview. Told to wait 90 days for a resolution by mail.

05/01/2009: Card production ordered.

05/06/2009: Received approval NOAs for I130 and I485 (welcome notice, 10 years card). I130 still shows case received and pending.

06/18/2009: got the 10 years validity card. Process length: 213 days since sending the applications.

No RFE at all along the process.

Yes, 1 year on both the EAD and AP.

No news yet for my case until today!!! :help::help: Did called USCIS to place no biometric service but no avail. Lady i talked to told me call back on Feb. 15 if i dont get anything. This is frustrating!!! Is their anything i can do? Please advice..Thanks!!!

I place a service request too for my biometrics last 01/05 morning and the lady said it'll be within 45days until I hear from USCIS. I did called them not knowing I would get my biometrics appointment letter on mail the same day (afternoon :lol: ) Anyway, 5 days ago, I got a letter from them regarding my request, and with it is the same biometrics appointment letter I got on the 5th, no changes with date nor time. So hang on there, you'll hear from them soon, mine took 3 weeks from the date I called, yours could be sooner or just within my timeframe, who knows :)

11-12-2008 Sent AOS, EAD, AP via USPS

11-13-2008 USCIS received the papers @ 3pm!

11-20-2008 3 NOAs

11-24-2008 check cashed

WOW, congratulations for your new job. What kind of job? How did you find it?

The job is essentially managing a website for a small company - I previously worked for a Fortune 100 company in the states doing a similar thing, and found it (or it found me) through a recruiter who I'd met.

5-13-09: Green card approved.

6-24-09: Received green card.

8-13-11: Received 10-year green card.

2-21-12: Sent N-400 to Dallas Lock box.

7-18-12: Naturalization interview (passed!).
