In most cases you won't have an interview if transferred to CSC...I know of atleast 1 September filer, who got transferred to CSC & got an interview letter.

Atleast you won't have an interview, and don't have to go through the painful process of collecting silly proofs and trying to prove to somebody that you really love each other.

Cassi that is wonderful news :)

It saves time on having to get an interview date and then being approved. You will be approved for your AOS from California and just receive your GC!!!!

EAD will not be transferred and will be ordered from the National Benefit Center if it even needs to be. You may receive your GC before your EAD :)

Also guys I was approved for my EAD last week and made a post, so if someone could kindly update the timeline I would appreciate it :P

Looking for jobs isnt fun! I forgot how much of a pain in the #### it is lol

So it's better to be transferred? The interview would be easy as I have a scrapbook with the wedding stuff and we could bring that. We just don't have bills in both our names.

Should I be concerned that they only transferred the AOS not the EAD?

Oh definitely better. The interview would require all sorts of proof, not just the wedding photos. Bills together, tax returns together, leases together, insurance together, bank accounts together yada yada....

The EAD does not get transferred. If you notice, most of the other filers too receive their EAD cards without it getting transferred. So, congrats once again. As B&J say, you may even get your GC before the EAD !! :)

In most cases you won't have an interview if transferred to CSC...I know of atleast 1 September filer, who got transferred to CSC & got an interview letter.

I'm not even sure how this would be possible because the NBC (National Benefits Center) issues interview dates after checking with your local office. The CA service center (CSC) does not issue interviews for 485s. The only possible explanation for this one odd September filer would be that after being transferred to CSC, their file got transferred back to the NBC for some reason. That has happened to another fellow November filer too by the way.

11/25/2008 - Delivered to Chicago Lockbox.

12/05/2008 - Checks Cashed and NOA1 date (DAY 1)

12/12/2008 - NOA1 & Biometrics received dated 12/5 (DAY 8)

12/22/2008 - Received RFE letter by USPS (DAY 18)

12/23/2008 - Mailed back RFE requirements (DAY 19)

12/31/2008 - Case processing resumed for I-485 (DAY 27)

01/02/2009 - Biometrics Appointment (DAY 29)

01/30/2009 - EAD Card production ordered (on hubbz's birthday!! What a nice present from USCIS!) (DAY 57)

02/02/2009 - Got email for AP approved as of 1/30. (DAY 60)

02/09/2009 - Received EAD and AP in mail. (DAY 67)

03/24/2009 - Interview at 1pm - APPROVED! (Thank God! DAY 115)

03/27/2009 - Received Welcome Letter and NOA2 for I-485 and I-130. (Day 118)

04/02/2009 - Received Green Card. (Day 124)

12/24/2010 - Time to file for removal of conditions - I-751

01/03/2011 - Mailed I-751 package to VSC

01/04/2011 - I-751 received and signed for at USCIS

I PASSED MY DRIVING TEST YESTERDAY AND GOT MY LICENSE I AM SOO EXCITED,CONGRATS TO EVERYONE ON UR APPROVALS SO FAR :thumbs::thumbs::thumbs:

They just gave you a temporary license right? I passed my driving test last Nov 3, and since then, they wouldn't release my driver license card because they need a proof of my legal presence in the US. I hope EAD is enough. I will try to go back before my temporary license expires on Jan 31.

i did my biometrics today. finally. My appointment notice is only for I-485. The CIS office guard said they cannot do my I-765 because its should be stated on the notice. I told him that I called USCIS customer service, that is a representative said that I only have to say I have another application. That's what I did. But I end up in the manager's office requesting for my I-765 biometrics. And it worked out!!! :dance::whistle: I just say "please" with a big smile and he said "ok, we'll do it." He just wrote something on my appointment notice.

I'm thankful. Praise God.

They gave me a paper license i will receive the actually card in 30 days, its gonna be valid for only a year but when u receive ur GC they give it too u for 8yrs....Thats how its done in florida. I actually used my NOA- RECEIPTS.

Well done. A smile, a "how are you today", a "please", a "thank you" and a "have a great day" go a long way :yes:

11/17/08 : Application sent (I-130, I-131, I-485, I-765)

11/18/08 : Official receipt of documents stated on I-797C (Signature for receipt at USCIS was on 11/17/2008 at 10PM)

11/28/08 : NOA Received ( I-797C) for all 4 forms (forms issued on 11/26/2008)

12/18/2008: LUD on I-130, I-131, I-765

01/29/2009: Bio done

01/29, 30/2009: LUD on I485 and I765

2/10/2009: issued AP, valid 1 year for multiple entries.

2/23/2009: Got EAD card

3/8/2009: LUD on all applications. Shows approval of I131 and I765, still pending on I130, I485.

04/28/2009 at 9:30 AM: Interview. Told to wait 90 days for a resolution by mail.

05/01/2009: Card production ordered.

05/06/2009: Received approval NOAs for I130 and I485 (welcome notice, 10 years card). I130 still shows case received and pending.

06/18/2009: got the 10 years validity card. Process length: 213 days since sending the applications.

No RFE at all along the process.
