Congratulations to all that have been 'touched' or approved, and to those who are still waiting, don't worry, it's coming!

I wanted to say that I am Over the Moon since today I received another email from CRIS saying:

Application Type: I765 , APPLICATION FOR EMPLOYMENT AUTHORIZATION

Current Status: Card production ordered.

On January 14, 2009, we ordered production of your new card. Please allow 30 days for your card to be mailed to you.

Its soooo great to see all the approvals and appointments. Congratulations to all of you with good news! Really happy to see things moving along at such a good pace from USCIS.

Almost hilarious.

I got a letter in the mail from USCIS, following up my service request on December 26. The letter says:

"Your application information has been entered into the system which schedules applicants for biometrics at their Local Applications Support Center. We are unable to determine how soon you should receive the Appointment Notice. Biometrics appointments are scheduled as slots become available at the Applications Support Centers and some Centers have a waiting period of three to six months. Once you have been scheduled for an appointment, you will receive an Appointment Notice to appear at a certain date and time at your local Applications Support Center. You must take the Appointment Notice that you receive with you to your appointment."

Edit: we are in Chicago, about 4 miles from the downtown USCIS office, I guess it is the Mecca of immigration, with people standing for months waiting for a bio appointment :rofl: :rofl:

Oh, and I guess the letter was sent as result of the infopass on January 12, the letter is dated January 13, issued by the Chicago office.

Our cases are very similar!! Our biometrics was in Chicago too in December! Good luck!

Good luck for the job hunting... I doubt that my EAD and AP will approve soon.........our interview was scheduled very soon....about 3 weeks from now.....

Why don't you try making it as a walk in, before the appointment date? That should speed up your file...

JhunJhun, maybe your AP and EAD approval will happen before your interview, 3 weeks is a long time. Just wait..

Hey guys, do you have any idea when the card for EAD will get into our hands after it was approved? Does anyone here receive their EAD card yet? I need an identification card on Feb 12 or 13. My driver license won't be issued until I present my EAD at the DMV (proof of legal presence in the US). I'm taking a board exam that day, the only ID they will honor are the ones issued by the US government. My visa shows my maiden name not my married name.
