isnt it supossed to be just the interview?

I have no idea what initial interview means. Hope this will be our first and last interview..... :)

I have no idea what initial interview means. Hope this will be our first and last interview..... :)

I asked this question and a replied was this " The phrase 'initial interview' is standard. They use it just in case they decide you need a second interview but the majority of applications are approved with just the one interview.

how cool...if thats so....... your case is moving pretty quick..

by the time you get your gc you wont need the ead.. and you are supossed to get ir around the time you have your interview..

I am stttiiiillll really confused with my case!!!

It was transferred to CSC and then they transferred it back with a request that USCIS reviews it. That was Dec 10th.. it was touched on Dec 12th and nothing since.

I just wanna know whats going on with it. I'm not gonna bother calling them... all they say is wait for something to come in the mail.

GRRRRRR!!!! :angry: lol

Congrats to everyone with good new though... glad to hear that things are moving along quickly!!

Oh, can someone update the November timeline for me... it keeps messing up.

I came here on a K-1 Visa

My AOS was transferred to CSC on December 4th, 2008

And my AOS was transferred back to USCIS from the State Department on December 10th, 2008

I just wanted to let you guys know that the Biometrics appointment at Raleigh-Durham, NC for me yesterday (Jan 2) was a breeze.

It was however very very tough to find that office. At first the GPS never found the address, so we drove to a nearby street and stopped at a gas station to ask for directions. We got there just in the nick of time. The people however were soooo nice and friendly. They were done with everything in 10 minutes. The biometrics officer was very informative and explained a lot about how things work and when I can expect stuff.

After that we shopped and ate in the city! So, very fun time!!!

My 485 had a touch on New Years. I wonder who's working at that office during the holidays! Hard workers I guess :))

I had another touch on my 485 and 765 yesterday (probably because of the biometrics though)

Now, I'll continue to wait for the EAD and any interview news!

Congrats jhunjhun on your interview appointment. Woohoo for you!!

God answered our prayers. I'm hoping that everything will go smoothly during our interview date. I can't even believe that my interview date is so soon...I was expecting to get my EAD approval soon but wait green card is better than EAD....hehhehehhe...Anyways, just keep praying.....God is so good!

Looking at different posts here I get sicker and sicker. I sent the package on November 17th, receipt at NBC/MSC on November 26th, and all my cases (485, 130, 131, 765) show online as received and pending ant NBC, but I have yet to get the biometrics appointment letter, while others have already the IL and a date set for it. I placed a service request over the phone on December 26th, 30 days after receipt at the NBC with no follow up on my cases, now, one week later, not even a soft LUD.

Is there anything I should do, other than just simply wait until January 25th (as instructed when I placed the service request)?

11/17/08 : Application sent (I-130, I-131, I-485, I-765)

11/18/08 : Official receipt of documents stated on I-797C (Signature for receipt at USCIS was on 11/17/2008 at 10PM)

11/28/08 : NOA Received ( I-797C) for all 4 forms (forms issued on 11/26/2008)

12/18/2008: LUD on I-130, I-131, I-765

01/29/2009: Bio done

01/29, 30/2009: LUD on I485 and I765

2/10/2009: issued AP, valid 1 year for multiple entries.

2/23/2009: Got EAD card

3/8/2009: LUD on all applications. Shows approval of I131 and I765, still pending on I130, I485.

04/28/2009 at 9:30 AM: Interview. Told to wait 90 days for a resolution by mail.

05/01/2009: Card production ordered.

05/06/2009: Received approval NOAs for I130 and I485 (welcome notice, 10 years card). I130 still shows case received and pending.

06/18/2009: got the 10 years validity card. Process length: 213 days since sending the applications.

No RFE at all along the process.

Oh Geeze...I forgot about that part! I need to hurry and get all of our photos and such organized.

So if by chance I get a Feb interview date (thinking it will be in line with the other two from Tucson)...EAD comes at the end of Jan...no SSN...no name on the lease...uh oh. We have a joint bank account with me as the primary and also my husband is on my medical insurance. Hmmmmmm....

Im such a procrastinator, I better start soon :)

My husband and I live with his parents. (We're 22 and 23) We are on seperate health insurances because his is under his parents still, we do have joint bank accounts, I have my DL and SSN in my married name, but can anyone think of other good proof of relationship for our interview other than pictures? how is everyone putting together their stuff for the interview? mine is feb. 10 in tucson az. im so nervous...i know i have nothing to worry about because my marriage was entered in good faith...but its still nerve wrecking!

i have pictures and some bills...and me and my husband both have credit cards...but im not on the actual statement...im just an authorized user..and we are both on BofA statements, but we each have our own bank...he has Chase and I have Wells Fargo...and my mother in law is renting us her house in tucson...but she never gave us an official aggreement or "contract"...

any suggestions would help!!!

10.22.2008-Mailed AOS Packet.

10.23.2008-Packet received and signed by V. Bustamante, Chicago, IL.

11.01.2008-Received NOA1 for I-130, I-485, I-765-Dated 10/29/2008.

11.10.2008-Received Biometrics Appointment.

11.11.2008-Touched.

11.18.2008-Biometrics Appointment Completed.

12.24.2008-Card Production Ordered.

12.25.2008-EAD Touch.

12.29.2008-Interview Appointment Dated for February 10, 2008 at 8:00AM.

12.30.2008-Card Production Ordered...AGAIN??.

12.31.2008-EAD Touch.

01.05.2009-EAD Approval Notice Sent.

01.05.2009-EAD Card Received in Mail!!

01.06.2009-Applied for SSN at SSA! easy breezy!!

01.14.2009-SSN arrives in the mail.!

01.26.2009-I start my job!

02.10.2009-AOS Interview..we were approved!

02.20.2009-Green Card in the Mail!
