My I-485 and I-765 are now available online :yes: but I-130 and I-131 are not. Anyways, how do we notify if there's a RFE? I had an online account. What is "Y" under email means? How do I know if my case is being touched? Thanks!

If you get an RFE the status on-line will change to let you know it's been mailed, you will receive it via snail mail soon afterwards and then can address whatever the problem is.

"Y" under email means "yes", as in you will be notified by email of any status changes.

"Touched" means that the "last updated" column will reflect a new date, but there is no status update. Usually it means your file was opened or changed desks. It literally means someone at USCIS touched your file for some reason. It can mean anything from someone went on their lunch break and scanned out of your file all the way to an approval that hasn't been updated online. A lot of people on the K1 forum would have tons of touches, but no approval...other people got approved without a single touch. Check out the Q&A with a former adjudicator for more information on what a touch really means.

If you click on the blue number it will show you a page of information about that case. It also has a "status" section...it should say "Case is received and pending" or something like that right now. If you get an RFE the status will change to reflect that. I've never gotten an RFE, so I don't know exactly what it will say.

jhunjhun, good to hear you finally can track at least one petition online. me on the other hand... still nothing. i lost hope really...

and, finally, it started snowing today in Boston. It was about time.

We were touched today! :hehe: YAY! The I-765, I am sure that is from the Biometrics yesterday.

And the 3rd and final application also showed up online today - the I-485. :dance:

The I-130 hasn't been touched since it was first put up on the 9th. <_<

Just wanted to share and update to help someone somewhere :) And of course to release my excitement. Which was a ball of nerves for about 3 seconds when I saw it had been updated today and I thought 'OMG NO RFE!!!!' and there wasn't, Thank goodness!!!

I wish you all good luck...for half of us we are over month in! I sent mine over a month ago...feels good :)

11/10/2008 - Got word from Lawyer that paperwork is final and to come in on the 12th to sign and send!

Hi Guys! I have a update on my case. It was touched yesterday and the current status changed from Case Transfered to Another Office for Processing to a new status This case is now pending at the office to which it was transferred.. I guess it's the standard status on the case. If this status referring to anything else. Please let is inform with that. Thanks.

I got a notice in the mail from USCIS saying:

This is to advise you that we have received the above application or petition back from the Department of State, along with their request that it be reviewed. We will notify you of any action we take on this case.

I received an RFE and I also got another appointment for biometrics... now I have two appointments.... :unsure:

My timeline:

11-20-2008: AOS (I-485 & I-130) Package sent.

11-24-2008: Package received at 1.36pm and signed by JCHYBA.

12-04-2008: AOS Check was cashed!

12-05-2008: I-130 Money Order was cashed!

12-08-2008: Received my 3 NOA's and letter for biometrics

12-19-2008: Received RFE and another letter for biometrics

12-22-2008: Sent response to RFE back

12-26-2008: Biometrics appointment! -canceled due to holidays-

01-02-2009: Response to RFE received and case is resumed

01-13-2009: Second biometrics appointment - DONE YAY!

01-26-2009: APPROVAL of EAD!!!!!! YAYYYYY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

02-04-2009: Received EAD card in mail and applied for SSN - Picked up SSN day after!

02-06-2009: Passed written test, got driver's permit!

Why are people getting 2 biometrics appointments? Did they just scan one barcode the first time?
