So no biometrics in the mail today..however, the I-765 application is showing up online! Strange that the other three aren't, but I won't complain.

Here's a question: I noticed that Chris and I seem to be the only people in this group adjusting from an L-1 visa (sorry I haven't updated that yet)..does anyone know if he'll be exempt from the biometrics appointment (as he already had this done for this visa)?

What's an L1 visa?

It's a work visa..in order to qualify for one, you have to work for a multinational company in your home country, then receive a job for that same company in the US. I know Chris went through all the fingerprint and picture stuff back then (not to mention he has to do it every time he reenters the country) so I suppose it may make sense that he would be exempt from the requirement (not getting my hopes up, though)..

Hi, I'm transfering from an H1 visa which is also a work visa like your husband, but for any company in the US. You will have to go through the biometrics appointment. Whenever people on visa's like ours re-enter the country, they make us do a fingerprint, but thats not a full biometrics and its a different database that they store this fingerprint in. This is my understanding.

For your info, I had my biometrics done today and it was far more detailed than the ones I had at the embassy or at the airport, so I would assume everyone will have them again.

24 NOV- biometrics NOA

4 DEC- biometrics appointment

13 DEC- RFE (tax papers)

26 DEC, 31 DEC, 8 JAN- biometrics had to be retaken :(

9 JAN - Case processing has resumed

4March- AOS Interview NOA

7 APR- green card interview -approved

I-751- conditions removal Vermont SC

19 Jan -sent the package

21 Jan- the package was received by USCIS (NOA dated 1/25)

28 Jan- check was cashed

24 Feb- Fingerprints Appointment

6 July - Approval notice

9 July - Green card received

hey, the same happened to me. the website said the RFE had been send on Dec 1, but i actually only got it on the 8th. so it took a week. im sure it will be there on monday.

I don't have it yet, STILL:( and it's been a month since we sent off our packet. Is there a certain timeline for the biometrics appointment to come? I can wait longer if I have to, but it's making me worry now.. My online status says it's last updated Nov. 25th.. do you think I should call now or wait for a couple of days more?

Hey dave&evan, it does not show online about the biometrics appointment. I can only look up the status on the forms I sent in, and they do not say anything about the bio appointment. Based on your timelines, you should have them now. Did you get paper copies of your NOAs in the mail? Your timeline says NOAs online, but did you receive those in the mail or read the case numbers off your cashed checks and look it up?

11/21/2008 - I-130, I-864, I-485, I-765, I-131 - Package sent.

11/25/2008 - Delivered to Chicago Lockbox.

12/05/2008 - Checks Cashed and NOA1 date (DAY 1)

Got my Florida Driver's License this morning!!!

All I needed was my NOA's, Passport and Canadian birth cirtificate!!!

Quick and easy, no road or written tests. Just the quick eye exam =)

Biometrics on Friday now!

5-13-09: Green card approved.

6-24-09: Received green card.

8-13-11: Received 10-year green card.

2-21-12: Sent N-400 to Dallas Lock box.

7-18-12: Naturalization interview (passed!).

Lots of good news today. :) Our NOAs arrived, so I'll add the dates later today or tomorrow. The other good news is that the bank accepted our offer on the house today! We'll be closing within 10 days and moving by the end of January. :)
