we didnt use a laywer. not for the K1 and not for this one. we`ll see how smooth it goes.

the only thing i`m worried about is our trip we got planned for april-may. it might be just around the interview date. maybe we shouldnt have done that... too late now

but then, no way of telling when or if you`ll get an interview anyhow, so i guess i cant just sit here and wait for it either.

I just checked my status online... and got good news!!!!

Current Status: Case Transfered to Another Office for Processing

On December 4, 2008, we transferred this case I485 APPLICATION TO REGISTER PERMANENT RESIDENCE OR TO ADJUST STATUS to our CALIFORNIA SERVICE CENTER location for processing and sent you a notice explaining this action. Please follow the instructions provided on the notice. We will notify you by mail when a decision is made. If you move while this case is pending, call customer service at 1-800-375-5283 to update your address. You can use our processing dates to estimate when your case may be processed by following the link below. You can also receive automatic e-mail updates as we process your case by registering in the link below.

I wish I can view my case online using those receipts that I've received from USCIS. I'm afraid that - for instance, what if there's a RFE on its way and it's lost (undelivered). How can we be informed if this ever happened. If the case is available online, atleast there's a signal that the RFE is on its way. Is there any way to get informed if the RFE is undelivered? I'm praying that there's no RFE for all of us!!! But fears are inevitable especially involving this process. I checked my account online and dialed their automated telephone system for many times and still hoping that my case is being entered or downloaded into USCIS system but still no updates. It's very discouraging yet I'm trying to heartens my wills to become even stronger and become even more patient when dealing this type of process.

OMG!! My husband got his drivers license today!!!!! YAY!!!

THe lawyer was right, with just the Receipt of the I-485 he gets one. Its only a 6 month license, but atleast it gets us through.

Questions to all who have already had the Biometrics Appointment. What materials we need to take at that time? (Someone mentioned about the marriage certificate) Do we need to take all the copies of the NOAs? And what's the procedure of the appointment? How long it takes? Any questions on the appointment? Please share your experience with us.
