Oh, really! I'll try to do that may be this coming friday. What are the documents you brought when you applied for FL driver's license, since you're a visitor? Did your passport get stamped? Did they give you I-94?

Here's what is says on the FL DMV website (http://www.flhsmv.gov/ddl/faqkeys.html#CanCit):

Under federal law, Canadian citizens are non-immigrants and are allowed to stay in the U.S. without obtaining US BCIS documentation. Canadians without US BCIS documents must provide proof of Canadian citizenship to be issued a Florida driver license or identification card by presenting one of the following documents and a secondary form of identification:

1. Valid Canadian passport

2. Original or certified Canadian birth certificate

3. Canadian Naturalization Certificate

4. Canadian Certificate of Citizenship

All Canadian citizens will be issued an original or renewal driver license for one calendar year from the date of issue.

My passport was stamped for a B2 (tourist), but they didn't even write it in. I don't think the DMV checked. They also collected the I-94 as I left immigration at the airport in Vancouver (from everyone)...don't know why.

ROC Journey:

01/19/11 I-751 & ROC package sent via USPS Priority

01/21/11 Package delivered to California Service Center

01/25/11 Check cashed

03/07/11 Biometrics

04/14/11 Approval Notice Date

04/18/11 Approval Notice Received

When did you move here? Do you think they will consider my passport and canadian citizenship certificate? My passport did not get stamped and I haven't got I-94 as well when I entered here in USA as a visitor. Why others passport got stamped and some are don't? Same as for I-94.

"Have faith in God, Jesus answered. I'll tell you the truth. if anyone says to this mountain, Go, throw yourself to the sea, and that does not doubt in his heart but believes that what he says will happen. it will be done for him. Therefore I'll tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours" (MARK 11:22-24)

I went to the DMV today and got my drivers permit.

I had to go twice cause the very unfriendly lady didnt want to take my visa as prove of signature/day of birth. Well i got it today anyhow so that`s good.

Now i just need to learn how to parallel park and i`m all good to go...

Watch this...http://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=california+dmv+rules+of+the+road&search_type=&aq=1&oq=california+dmv

I hope that will help you, it helped me a lot. I also searched for the techniques how to parallel park at youtube. And mind you, that's a great help. They didn't ask me to paralle park during my behind-the-wheel exam. Backing (without hitting the curb) was asked instead. I got my driver's license after the 2nd exam though...:)

Read the DMV driver's manual for your written exam.

Nothing in the mail (I checked twice haha), but I'll have to get my Hubby to check his bank account to see if the money came out yet. It didn't show that it did yesterday.

I am also anxiously waiting for NOA in the mail but nothing's coming so I asked my hubby to check if the cheque is already encashed. And it was!!! On the 24th! So I guess the mail is taking a stroll in the park for Thanksgiving. LOL

thank you very much for the link.

i allready passed the written test. Now i just need to get some driving done. Problem is, we dont have a car (downtown Boston, you really dont need a car). so i`ll take some drivingclasses and do the driving test with them.

i drove around back at home (also on a permit), but i`m not a great parker, so i`m a bit worried about that.

I recieved an email from CRIS today...i got rfe ......

I`m sry to hear. hope it`s something minor...
