The officer did not even get to the wedding pictures :( And we do have some beautiful ones that I printed especially for the interview. He was young and probably not married (I have not seen a wedding band on his finger), plus he was a guy, so weddings for him are a strange thing:)

Did not keep any pictures, but if I were you I would be prepared with a 4x6 copy, if you have or can do it at a Target, or CVS (about 20 cents a picture). Thanks for the encouragement!

11/17/08 : Application sent (I-130, I-131, I-485, I-765)

11/18/08 : Official receipt of documents stated on I-797C (Signature for receipt at USCIS was on 11/17/2008 at 10PM)

11/28/08 : NOA Received ( I-797C) for all 4 forms (forms issued on 11/26/2008)

12/18/2008: LUD on I-130, I-131, I-765

01/29/2009: Bio done

01/29, 30/2009: LUD on I485 and I765

2/10/2009: issued AP, valid 1 year for multiple entries.

2/23/2009: Got EAD card

3/8/2009: LUD on all applications. Shows approval of I131 and I765, still pending on I130, I485.

04/28/2009 at 9:30 AM: Interview. Told to wait 90 days for a resolution by mail.

05/01/2009: Card production ordered.

05/06/2009: Received approval NOAs for I130 and I485 (welcome notice, 10 years card). I130 still shows case received and pending.

06/18/2009: got the 10 years validity card. Process length: 213 days since sending the applications.

No RFE at all along the process.

Hi there..all is definitely not lost. Think positively and I'm sure that approval will come soon..my husband's interview was about 6 weeks ago and we still haven't heard anything (the officer said he had 60 days to make the decision, so if we haven't heard by the 60th day, we're doing an infopass!). It seems like more and more offices are waiting to make decisions and telling people afterwards, so don't fret!

Sarah and Robbie: good luck tomorrow! Let us know how it goes.

Thank you KPC for the encouragement. I'm thinking maybe my name is not yet cleared by the FBI and that is why this rush through questions interview. The officer did skin through the file, about 3-4 times, and each time told us that things look "pretty solid". I'm trying to stay positive on this one:)

I hope mymee will come with better news, and Sarah and Robbie would have even better news tomorrow! Good luck guys!

11/18/08 : Official receipt of documents stated on I-797C (Signature for receipt at USCIS was on 11/17/2008 at 10PM)

11/28/08 : NOA Received ( I-797C) for all 4 forms (forms issued on 11/26/2008)

12/18/2008: LUD on I-130, I-131, I-765

01/29/2009: Bio done

01/29, 30/2009: LUD on I485 and I765

2/10/2009: issued AP, valid 1 year for multiple entries.

2/23/2009: Got EAD card

3/8/2009: LUD on all applications. Shows approval of I131 and I765, still pending on I130, I485.

04/28/2009 at 9:30 AM: Interview. Told to wait 90 days for a resolution by mail.

05/01/2009: Card production ordered.

Yehey... I'll just make this brief and simple. We were approved at around 2:30PM. We were interviewed 2:20 PM,our schedule is 1:45PM, so we went half-day at work. The guy handed us a letter stating that we were approved and will get the card within 90 days. No other questions asked aside from those already on the forms submitted.

It's a tiring day but it's worth the wait....

thank you everybody for advices. map1map, I think you don't have to worry. you're fine...

I brought in the requested info to the RFE 2 weeks ago and still no answer.... I'm getting so nervous and scared..... Who else had an RFE at the interview and how long did it take them to give you an approval?

My timeline:

11-20-2008: AOS (I-485 & I-130) Package sent.

11-24-2008: Package received at 1.36pm and signed by JCHYBA.

12-04-2008: AOS Check was cashed!

12-05-2008: I-130 Money Order was cashed!

12-08-2008: Received my 3 NOA's and letter for biometrics

12-19-2008: Received RFE and another letter for biometrics

12-22-2008: Sent response to RFE back

12-26-2008: Biometrics appointment! -canceled due to holidays-

01-02-2009: Response to RFE received and case is resumed

01-13-2009: Second biometrics appointment - DONE YAY!

01-26-2009: APPROVAL of EAD!!!!!! YAYYYYY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

02-04-2009: Received EAD card in mail and applied for SSN - Picked up SSN day after!

02-06-2009: Passed written test, got driver's permit!

02-10-2009: Received my SSC

03-20-2009: Interview! - RFE

04-14-2009: Brought the requested document to the immigration office.

05-02-2009: Received our 3rd RFE.

05-11-2009: Brought the requested document to the immigration office.

05-27-2009: Received green card YAY Thank you God

04-04-2011: Sent in I-751 Removal of conditions

07-08-2011: Approved!

07-14-2011: Received Permanent Resident Card! WHOOOOO HOOOO we are done!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thank you GOD!

We just got back from the interview. It was at 11:30, we got there around 11 and were called in a bit after 12.

The IO was a young guy probably in his 20s or early 30s. He asked me how we met, what Rob's parents names were, if I'd ever met them before. He asked Rob his birthday, my birthday, our address and then asked the same questions from the paperwork about being a terrorist and all that. He asked if we had anything with both our names on it so I gave him our cell phone bill with both our names, our joint savings account paperwork and the form I filled out at work when I added Rob to my health insurance. I apparently had misplaced the affidavit my mom signed and got notarized because it wasnt in any of the folders I had with me even though I was sure I'd put it in there, but the IO said it was ok I didn't have it because everything looked good.

He gave us an RFE for the medical because apparently the medical info from England that Rob handed in at the airport never got put in our file :bonk:

So now with the rest of the day I have to call around to civil surgeons and get prices for the full medical exam and send that back to him within 30 days.

He said that everything is perfect except the medical being missing and that as soon as he gets the envelope and everything checks out with that he will approve the file that day!

So hopefully we can get an appointment quickly and send that all off to him ASAP.

It looks like it went very well Sarah, don't think you need to worry further. As for the medical exam, make sure you discuss with whomever you decide to choose and clarify all aspects straight at the beginning. Some of these USCIS approved physicians are so full of themselves! Get the list approved by USCIS and look them up. You're pretty close to the finish line!

I just called up one from the list and the woman I spoke to was much nicer than the one I spoke to last time I called to see about getting his DS3025 transcribed

I explained to her what happened and she seemed like she really knew what she was talking about. She went over everything with me, they gave a decent price so I'm pleased. Hopefully everything else goes smoothly.

Oh yeah and the IO also gave us the instructions for lifting conditions and an envelope to send the EAD card back to him in

That looks like a certain approval, pending the I-693.

I'm starting to think we'll have to check our underwear color the day we're gonna be scheduled for the stokes interview, just to make sure we're not going in with the wrong answer:))

Just an update, our AOS was approved during our interview last April 20. We received the welcome letter last April 24 which was dated April 21. I'm grateful for all your posts, it made our AOS a lot easier.

Just an update, our AOS was approved during our interview last April 20. We received the welcome letter last April 24 which was dated April 21. I'm grateful for all your posts, it made our AOS a lot easier.
