New to the board. I have my AOS interview tomorrow. I will post how it went.

Anybody have any experience with AOS on tourist visa? Should be a very fun interview, I am looking forward to it.

I was on a tourist visa from Canada. It wasn't even brought up in our interview.

Good luck!

Yeah, I thought we had a positive interview! He just said "I have 60 days to give you a decision, but I don't think it'll take that long..this was an easy one." I suppose "easy" could imply that we were an easy denial, but we haven't gotten a notice for a second interview (and I hear those usually come about a week after the initial interview), so perhaps they are just being lazy. We'll see! Thanks for the positive vibes though, and congrats on getting your green card!!

5-13-09: Green card approved.

6-24-09: Received green card.

8-13-11: Received 10-year green card.

2-21-12: Sent N-400 to Dallas Lock box.

Hi everyone,

Hope you are all doing great. We had our AOS interview on the 26th of March and were told we are approved. The officer also gave us (me and my wife) the white approval letter and told me to file for removing conditions in two years. My question is how long does the welcome letter and subsequent green card take to arrive in the mail. What is the expected waiting time? Also my I-485 account online still has not been updated and last update still shows somewhere in Dec 08. Btw the officer said I should get my Green Card from between 2-6 weeks and said it usually takes 2 weeks. Thanks a lot everyone and have a great day.
