Just what I thought. USCIS sent me the EAD in the mail. I got the plastic, issued on 02/18/09, I'll go for the SSN # tomorrow. Now I'll have to cancel the InfoPass.

No emails, no changes in the status, no nothing.

I'm really not complaining about not being notified, as long as they move the file, mine or other peoples. Better keep their noses in the files and get things done than messing around with that online notification (that so often was screwed in the last month or so) :)

jhunjhun, phoenixwife, thank you!

When you guys/gals filled the SSN application form, did you realy used ink? I'm wondering if a blue/black ballpen would be good for the job:) Anything else needed, other than the passport, the birth certificate, the EAD card? Should I take the NOAs with me?

Um yes I remember filling out the SSN application with a pen

I just took my EAD with me, and my passport.

The tourist visa in my passport was expired at the time I requested my SSN, but the gentleman at the SSOffice looked at my EAD instead.

I did not take any NOAs with me.

Good Luck! :star:

I didn't fill out anything when I applied for my SSN. I only talked to a lady and asked my personal information and handed my passport to her . I didn't sign anything.

"Have faith in God, Jesus answered. I'll tell you the truth. if anyone says to this mountain, Go, throw yourself to the sea, and that does not doubt in his heart but believes that what he says will happen. it will be done for him. Therefore I'll tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours" (MARK 11:22-24)

Hi Chris-lei,

I only took the Copies of I-693 that my doctor had given me to the appointment.

Of course the sealed envelope with the originals for I-693 I had sent back in November with the whole package.

I just made an extra set of copies and took it with me to the interview.

the officer did not ask me for the copies, but I felt better having them there with me.

Same with the Affidavit of Support. I took copies with me to the interview, the officer did not ask for them. She had the original in her file.

Congrats to everyone! I have been so busy I haven't been able to get on and update.

But after our exhausting interview we have finally received the welcome notice :) What an exciting letter to get, it made me smile! I expect the green card in the mail anyday. I was very worried because the online status is still pending. Oh well!!!

My husband found a job last week and started yesterday. It feels great again to have him working. No more money woes. And he is so happy to get out of the house - he said yesterday it felt good to want to come home. He hasn't felt that in a long time.

I'm still shocked this is all over...we have been in this for a few years...

:dance::dance::dance::dance::dance::dance::dance::dance:

Good luck to everyone who is still waiting, it will come and life will be good!!!
