Fly out the 16th August to be with my lovely John.

EAD approved on the 7th Jan 2005.

recieved on the 13th Jan 2005.

AP recieved on the 14th Jan 2005.

Passed driving test on the 2nd Feb,2005!

AOS interview date July 2005!

AOS Approved!!!!

April 25th 2007 Vermont recieve paperwork for I-751

Refiled June 26th

Tied the knot (legal ceremony, part one) – January 26th, 2008 (kinda spontaneous)

AOS: Mailed V-Day; received February 15th, 2007 – phew!

I-485 application transferred to CSC – March 12th, 2008

Travel/Work approval notices via email – April 23rd, 2008

Green card/residency card: email notice of approval – August 28th, 2008 yippeeeee!!!

Funny-looking card arrives – September 6th, 2008 :)

Mailed request to remove conditions – July 7, 2010

Landed permanent resident approved – August 23rd, 2010

Second funny looking card arrives – August 31st, 2010

:dance: well said this was also the day of our I-130 interview in montreal and yes we were approved all similar events as previously quoted by others...HOWEVER the QUESTION OF THE DAY can anyone tell us exacyly how many days it took to actually RECIEVE the visa back from the consulate in montreal...thaNKS

The election process has certainly been a long process with strong feelings from supporters on both sides of the debate. Confronting ideals and debates on the issues are part of the process however ultimately the process does come to an end (the election). Rightfully no matter who won or lost there is bound to be hurt feelings, resentment and a whole range of emotions in the aftermath.

All of this said there is still one thing we have in common here... The incredible immigration journey that not only unites this community but makes everyone a part of the American dream. I hope that as America moves forward beyond election day that members on both sides of the campaigns can come back together and heal any wounds that have been brought on by the long election process. This is not the time for "rubbing in" anything but instead is the time everyone can come together and look forward. Immigration will certainly be critical issue in the next administration and one that is important to this community. I think a good discussion could result from this topic alone and be quite interesting :).
