So if everyone has biometrics, when do you typically get the appt. letter? Like I said I havent gotten a touch on the case or a letter or anything. How do I find out about it? I called USCIS and asked for an inquiry, they said I should hear something in 45days or call back. Is there someone else I can call. I dont want to have an appt. and not know about it.

I'm sure there is a good explanation. Some people have their biometrics appointment at the same time as the Green Card appointment...

If you are too worried maybe you can try to do a walk-in biometrics...

It will be difficult to impossible without a biometrics appointment letter....

Apparently, many people here on VJ do that. Go there without any appointment, and it works! Places to take biometrics are not very crowded. If they have time, they'll do it.

Without the letter they will find it difficult to apply it against your case file.... Most "walk-in" because the appointment date does not match up well with the logistics to get it done as scheduled.

YMMV
