I'm sorry to hear this Sis Vida...

I know this has been so tough in you, but I know that people who are being deprived will be lifted.

So just be strong... This too shall pass. Both of you and your husband should be strong and never let this kind of

person affect your wonderful marriage. The kids will soon realized that you are such great person to be befriended.

The only thing I can think of is ..he may want to work in the Middle East to cope up with his financial burden there is a lot of civilian job that pays a lot of money.. Free of everything.. especially in Iraq. You may think it is a dangerous place, but no place is safe anymore.. We been here for 6 years and thanks God, He is always with us.. This will help him cope up with his financial burden..He can bring you as well in the Middle East if you want to.

You can not blame his ex wife, she is hurting so the only thing he can do right now is be financially stable so he can do what he wants for the kids.. Some people can not easily accept the situation and this is not good, bad divorces can affect children all over the world.

I just wanted to say that you are handling the whole situation with love and maturity. I hope that in time she will see that and lighten up a bit. I think its very selfless of you to want to be by your husbands side when it comes to his children. Some women marry men and could care less about their kids, and are often glad that he doesnt have joint custody. I totally respect that! It speaks volumes to your character! :)

Your stepkids will grow up and realize that their mom was acting out of anger and hurt and that she did them a HUGE disservice by keeping them from their father.

I wish you guys luck and patience through this difficulty.

Timeline: 13 month long journey from filing to visa in hand

If you were lucky and got an approval and reunion with your loved one rather quickly; Please refrain from telling people who waited 6+ months just to get out of a service center to "chill out" or to "stop whining" It's insensitive, and unecessary. Once you walk a mile in their shoes you will understand and be heard.

Thanks!

I really appreciate this completely, thanks a lot! Though I must say that he had a friend somewhere there and actually offered him a job but there is just one problem we are facing now that turns it down. I will PM you. thanks a lot!

This is a really sad situation really I grew up when my parents divorced really young at it was really bitter, but mostly it was bitterness from my dad to my mom cause he screwed up and never really found happiness after my mother.

ANYWAY my point is she seems like a bitter lady who even though found another husband, probably isn't feeling the same happiness she felt with your husband so you should feel lucky.

Its her own insecurity that keeps her kids from experiencing the love of another parent even if it is step. If she was secure in that she was a good parent she wouldnt care how much contact you had with your step-children....Your husband needs to get his job situation back on track cause it sounds like this woman is going to try to ring him dry in court costs just to get back at him for something that they should be past by now.

You might of had positive PPD but she is lucky there is no test for BBS (Bitter B!tch Syndrome)
