To me it was a very wonderful occasion for my family and I. It was a mark in history which we had never even imagined possible. It was an incredible evening for all of us even though some may not be happy about the outcome. I am so pleased to see this day has come for change in America, for many of us our ancestors struggled for many years and we have come so far now. My parents were overflowed with joy. My father being a veteran, and also of Native American ancestry was very overjoyed lastnight. My mother who is disabled and lucky to have made it to see this day is simply unable to believe what has occured. To think they had struggled all these years just to get even close to something as amazing as lastnight fills my heart with happiness. To watch my parents faces and hear their voices rolling with anticipation about the changes to come just simply put a feeling in my heart which I have never felt before in my life.

I have dealt with racism all of my life, religious and ethnic prejudices are a part of my daily life. I struggle just to go to town in my area. I was not shocked that my state was a "red state", but I was always sure Obama would win this election. You may ask why? I will tell you: God creates miracles where it is needed Where there is a strong will, there is always a way. Where seeds are planted to create growth, God will allow fruit to bear within. I praise God highly for this day, I never imagined I would live to see the day a man such as Obama would become president-elect. Wow, this is so amazing I am at a lost of complete words to convey my exact feelings.I can not believe it still and I am still in a state of shock.

I am so happy that Obama had so many supportors even though he was different from the past 43rd presidents. I must say this has been a "wake-up call" for all of the Americans annd foreigners alike. All my friends overseas are extremely overjoyed! They all supported Obama and understood it was time to "change". If things do not change, they will remain the same and we do not want to live in a world without change. I am so happy that my children are going to be able to experience the first time a man as such has became president; something so amazing has occured. I am so happy today, I really feel good and I know that God is good and only God can create such a miracle. Thank you God, you are the greatest and I appreciate all you do to create change and to soften the hearts of the individuals in this world. :star: God bless the USA and all the world with happiness, peace, and understanding! :star:

When you talk about changes in america, what changes do you expect that obama will make? Me personally I want this whole Immgration process to be change, but let see if that happens. I think it is good day for everyone who cheers and voted for obama, but the real truth is "time will tell" if this is the right choice. God bless America

Thanks!

Im in dire need of that soothing relief from Heartburn, Upset Stomach, Nausea, and Diarrhea.

Don't just open your mouth and prove yourself a fool....put it in writing.

It gets harder the more you know. Because the more you find out, the uglier everything seems.

Optimistic just like I am every time we elect a new president. And, fearful, like all the rest he will disappoint me in the end.

I hope Congress plays nice!

Life's just a crazy ride on a run away train

You can't go back for what you've missed

So make it count, hold on tight find a way to make it right

You only get one trip

So make it good, make it last 'cause it all flies by so fast

You only get one trip

No idea. I didn't vote for him, but I am relieved it isn't McCain/Palin. Very skeptical as to what happens, now that Democrats have also taken a near supermajority in the Senate and some 20 more seats in the House, as well as most of the state governorships. They're just inches short of a complete mandate -- a huge repudiation of the Republican Party. Wonder if kaydee, Gary, zqt, VW, metta, LuckyStrike, and others are crying their heads off.

What I also look forward to is criticism from the resident Democrats here. I assume you're not going to be like your political opposites here and not be critical of your administration when necessary.

Well, I wanted change to come in the form of finaly having a black, latino or any variety of president. So, therefore, change is evident. Last night proves channge has come. "It's been a long time coming" as Obama said last night. This man stands for all humanity!

I am elated. I cried tears of joy.

Thats all i have for now. :)

"you fondle my trigger then you blame my gun"

Timeline: 13 month long journey from filing to visa in hand

If you were lucky and got an approval and reunion with your loved one rather quickly; Please refrain from telling people who waited 6+ months just to get out of a service center to "chill out" or to "stop whining" It's insensitive, and unecessary. Once you walk a mile in their shoes you will understand and be heard.

Thanks!

I just want Obama to leave the constitution intact. Is that asking too much?

Should I feel different now that I'm rich?

"The fact that we are here today to debate raising America’s debt limit is a sign of leadership failure. It is a sign that the U.S. Government can’t pay its own bills. It is a sign that we now depend on ongoing financial assistance from foreign countries to finance our Government’s reckless fiscal policies."

Senate Floor Speech on Public Debt

The color of his skin should have absolutely nothing to do with it. J.F.K. and R.F.K. brought about quite a bit of change themselves and they just happened to be white.

Regarding Immigration the vast majority of Americans could give a flying f about it. Don't expect much on that front.
