Has anyone transferred their case from Seoul to Manila after the 130 was aprroved? How long did you wait? Im trying to figure out my options. My wife called the korean embassy in PI to get info on a visa back to korea, they told her she needed a letter from me, a letter from the embassy in Korea and a bank account with a good mount of money.

So I am trying to figure out the fastest way to get her visa done and issued because there is a good chance I will be getting deployed in September for 4 months.

Any advice you guys can give would be great.

You might want to ask in Regional Discussion/Asia. Seems like the poster there who knows a lot about the Phillipines is PatientlyWaiting.

8-12-2004 I moved to New Zealand(married my Kiwi in US 5/04)

1-12-2006 Received initial packet - It has I-130, I-864 & DS-230 Part 1, DS-2001 & tons of instructions.

Hi, we have quite the same situation before. but mine was transferred from canada to manila. Do you already have the approval and case number?

what i did before once i found out canada cannot process my application, i talked and mail the US embassy in canada to have them transfer my case to manila. Then they were the one who mailed USE manila to anticipate my application. Or, try to fax or mail USE manila and ask them to ask for your application from korea. You just have to provide them your case number.

I waited for 3months before manila got my papers from canada. try to be patient coz these transfers really takes a loooong time. hope i helped in some ways. The good part is, USE manila gave me an interview schedule upon receipt of my application. i didnt wait for another 3moths or so....

Goodluck
