June - 10 yr card recieved

Feb. 19, 2010 - N-400 Application sent to Phoenix Lockbox

April 3, 2010 - Biometrics

May 17,2010 - Citizenship Test - Minneapolis, MN

July 16, 2010- Retest (writing portion)

October 13, 2010 - Oath Ceremony

Journey Complete!

2009-08-12 no biometrics yet.......called on 30 day mark to report no biometrics, a service inquiry has been made on the case.....

2009-08-27 I-131 (AP) approved

2009-09-15 EAD Card production ordered!

Good morning all! Hope its a great Hump Day...

HLM, congratulations, can you beleive all the waiting is finally almost over??

what a historic election last night. My husband got here just a couple of weeks after the election 4 years ago so he missed all the campaigning and everything. He was very interested in the whole process and was so thrilled to see history being made this time around. Whether you were for Obama or McCain, you have to admit its a huge huge step for our country to elect a black man especially on a day of record voter turnout. I know its a little cheesy but I got a little teary when I saw interviews or camera shots of people my parents age, especially African Americans, who probably never ever believed they would live to see this day. :)

Good morning!!! Congrats HLM!!! I'm so happy for you!!

Yahhh on our new president! My crazy azz neighbor was out there last night shooting fireworks off yelling "Thats what I'm talking about"!!!! My poor Tinkerbelle freaked out cause of the fireworks. She shook for an hour after.

07/21/11 filed AOS off tourist visa

07/28/11 USCIS cashed check

07/30/11 Recieved NOA1 and Biometrics letter

08/24/2011 Biometrics

08/25/2011 RFE sent to us for some info we've already sent in

08/30/2011 sent in the rest of info USCIS asked for

09/13/2011 went to congressman's office to sign papers for expedite of work permit, due to financial hardship

09/15/2011 Work permit expedite approved!! He can finally find a job!

09/24/2011 work permit arrives

09/26/2011 Apply for social security number!

09/30/2011 Letter is sent for interview

11/07/2011 INTERVIEW!!!

Its 2012 and still no approval! Still waiting

01/27/2012 Letter sent stating that file was sent on for more review :(

ok, I'll say only 1 thing on the election.... WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO I couldn't be happier!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :dance::dance: Good days are on their way!!! :dance::dance:

Outside of that, I will not discuss politics anymore. I try my best to stay wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyy farrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr out of any political discussions coz I get really heated REALLY quickly and this is 1 area that is really hard for me to debate/even discuss with ppl who are "hard winged" in either direction. I am JUST well enough educated to have decided who I wanted but NOT well enough educated to actually stand my ground on it LOL isn't that sad... Maybe I'll do some research .. naah, I gotta cookbook to complete!

lmao...My husband told me to get out there and make a fool of myself too..I was jumping up and down yelling and screaming when he won....

I was teary eyed too. When they showed the ecstatic people out there! What history for the county. It's true, whether you voted for McCain or Obama, it's hard not to be moved.
