I have not seen my fiancee in slightly more than 2 years. How does this impact our packet?

-Thanks

It means you have not met within the last two years prior to the filing date of the petition.

You two need to meet again and provide documentation of that as part of the petition requirements..if you do not, the petition will be denied (and they'll keep your money).

Phil (Lockport, near Chicago) and Alla (Lobnya, near Moscow)

As of Dec 7, 2009, now Zero miles apart (literally)!

It means that you don't qualify for a fiancee visa at this time. One of the most important requirements is that you had seen each other in the last 2 years.

You need to go back and spend time together before you apply. You must have seen each each in the 2 years immediately preceeding the date you apply.

Save your boarding passes as proof. Take lots of pictures with her and her family members.

To poster Barbiedoll, who posted today...you can continue with the K-1 route as long as you are not married. Your pregnancy will not have any effect on the process. It is unlikely that he will be here by December, but if you file NOW...maybe.

My fiance`& I met December 2010 & we are already applying for I-I29F (K-FIANCEE`)

We been together for almost half a year & the reason i wanted to apply for fiance visa is because I reside in the U.S & Im pregnant with his baby.

With this scenario is it still possible for us to continue our said application, or should we think of other options ?

I would Love for him to be in the U.S by the time im due to give birth . , My due date is December 16 2011 .

K1 sounds like the best option for you. You're not married, so you can't do the K3 visa unless you want to go to his country to get married. I think K1 is faster than the K3 usually, although it varies. I wouldn't count on being together by December, though. I was hoping to see my fiancee (now wife) by Christmas after I filed in July, 2010, but our petition didn't get approved until January, so she finally arrived this March. Check out our timeline, and you'll see that it's not always as quick as 6 months, especially if you file in the summer (one of their busiest times).

December? That's only six months away. If you filed your I-129F today and everything went absolutely smoothly, it would be possible for him to get a visa and be back in the U.S. by mid-December. But you're really cutting it close.

All applicants waited months just for the approval of the USCIS.They studied our case and in the first place if we are not really qualified they will deny our I- 129F right away and wont let us continue anymore. and i guess the "2 year" has nothing to do with the interview.

Not having seen each other for two years by the time of the interview violates no rules but it will make it more difficult to show a genuine ongoing relationship.
