I hope we have learned when we "occupy" a country to intercede in a possible civil war (ie vietnam) we learned if we leave many many more will die.

On another note this Sunni Shia thing really REALLY ruffles my feathers. It's time as a people to come together but that's not for me to work on here in the U.S. I am just doing my best to understand it all. I think that is a start, hence the "friend" in Beruit I ask tons of questions and she answers as best as she can. Call me curious but i have to understand to form an opinion.

But back to topic, I think any presidant coming in will have alot of difficult decisions. I pray allowing sense less killing of innocents never on anyone's agenda. ooops i gotta stop now before i get flamed

Well since Obama didn't start this war to begin with, the outcome is not his fault. As President, he is going to have to listen to the ppl (and the house/congress), and if that majority says to withdraw, that's what will be done. I understand the fear, too bad the people couldn't make a difference to begin with

Totally agreed. If our new president can unite the world again, and we can start TALKING to countries, instead of talking war right away. Diplomacy, IMO, is what we need desperately.

I think McCain's speech was touching and of course Obamas made me cry. Both are true gentlemen, and the best man won! I'm truly proud of our country and our people!

As for S&S, I too agree, it will ruin Iraq if we withdraw to quickly...BUT we NEVER should have gone into Iraq to begin with. Sadam might have been insane but he was the one man that could keep that country under control. It's obvious we can't. He was just a fall guy (like many others)...Not worth going into it here....

I'm happy a man came into office who knows what it's like to be struggle finanacially. That makes all the difference in the world, he would connect with people who are "poor" and understand their pain.

Its a shame people are talking about sharing the wealth! Usually these imbeciles are so selfish, and racist they don't know they will one day grow old. I worked in a nursing home for a while. I would see patients with children who didn't visit them, and one part of me felt sad, but one part of me didn't. That's the way they raised them. Change(money) aint nothing, you win some you lose some. However, when you are old and you are alone. Ha! Ha!Ha! this is sharing the wealth. My time is my wealth! My health is my wealth! So, I believe Obama will try to make the open-minded people to work harder to be involved with social programs. What good is wealth and millions when you can't walk by yourself. I heard the oldest people around me talking about "everything will be free" hahaha! what ignorance. Man I have compassion for anyone, but this not wanting to share the wealth is pure greed. A kind of greed that I know will one day bite you in the ###.

Most of these greedy people don't have big families; most don't even have large extended families. Now, tell me when you are too old to walk, bathe yourself, who will do these things for you? hahaha! Surely, you can't believe the poor children who grew up to be Nurses, and Home Health Aides who you didn't want to share the wealth with to help you then.

Evil is never good man, give it up. What makes me shake my head even more is these people claim to follow the teachings of Jesus(as); oh really! Jesus not spreading the wealth with the poor. What Jesus you talking about? The Jesus from Mexico?

Also, Americans don't have a right in other people countries fighting and taking sides with anyone. Clean your own house, take care of your own business. If you can't be neutral, stay out of it. America is not a neutral country in the Middle East plain and simple.

For Sunni Iraqi's talking about not wanting the troops to go home. Well, eventually they will have to leave someday. If they are so concerned for going back. Why don't they go and fight for their rights. What can America do for an internal problem? Americans barely get along here, now you want Americans to go with guns to a country that they have no idea about the culture and this never ever war between Shia and Sunni. LOL! Please those Arab men should stop being "cowards" and go and fight for their freedoms just like American did here. Americans deal with things here. We don't go and ask Germany, China to come here and bring their troops to oppress the people into submission.

The Sunni and Shia should never come together ever! The Shia has cursed the Khalifa Abu Bakr(ra) and Umar(ra) and accused Aisha(ra) of adultery.

How can we be together with people who accused and curse the Mother of the believers and our rightly guided Khalifa?

We(sunni's) don't hate for the sake of hate. We hate for the unjustice done to us. We fight for the unjustice done to us.
