Sorry - I view pride as a very bad thing. Even so, why would I be proud of being an American? I didn't have anything to do with it. My accomplishment was that I just happened to be born here. Big deal.

Heeeeellll, no. I see the world, and America in particular, going to hell in a hand basket. We are SO FAR AWAY from the concept of a republic of sovereign states joined in a voluntary union that the very concept that the nation was founded upon seems to have been lost. That, my friend, is a tragedy.

Besides that - I see my taxes going up. Nothing good about that.
