Thank God Bush is out.. It is AMAZING to be part of this election year to say the least and for lack of a better word. It is a wonderful to see what great things can be accomplished in this great country through hard work and dedication :dance::dance::dance: YEA OBAMA :thumbs:

I feel McCain’s concession speak was very gracious and heartfelt, and I applaud him for the words he spoke. He is truly a devoted American.

I want to reiterate to people that I've met John McCain.

I met him at a former employer of mine. I shook his hand, I shook his entourage's hand.

No doubt is he a good guy. But he would be representative of a terrible direction this country has been headed in.

Now that Obama is President elect, I hope this country can move forward in a better direction and restore my faith in the Democratic party. I'm not counting on it, but I hope.

no, he's not out. changeover takes place on 20 jan. that's still 2.5 months away.

President elect Obama's acceptance speech was outstanding, and his comments about Senator McCain and Governor Palin uplifting. If anyone noticed, the crowd there in Chicago did not boo and make nasty comments like the crowd in Arizona, and was a very much mixed crowd.

I am very proud that my application for US citizenship will occur under an Obama presidency. Tonight I heard the new mantra for the United States: 'Yes, we can". This is a message of hope for the future, not a message based on the greatness of the past or on what one man will do. The message is on what we can do, and that message is 'yes, we can'. I am proud to be in the US tonight on this momentous occasion and have no doubt that I can support President elect Barack Obama, a man I respect and admire as an individual and as the future President of the United States. Well done, Americans! Tonight we have seen the birth of a brand new America, one that will thrive in the new world ahead of us and can make all of us proud.
