I'm a social scientist by trade, with a family in marketing. I studied everything.

And yet, from what transpires here, you know nothing. Sometimes it takes more than hard work. Sometimes it takes what you clearly don't have.

YAWN. Your taunts are so lame.

It's you that's lame. And that is besides not only being on the wrong side of history but also being unable to see a historical moment coming. Hell you wouldn't see it if it slapped you in the face. With all that expertise, knowledge and studying of yours, you'd be expected to do better.

You should really start acting like you have been saved from evil! So bitter you are.

Light it up! You'll feel so much better.

You are pretty damn bitter, Dog. I recognize a historical moment. I also recognize that this moment will lead to others that won't be good. I would have prefered that a qualified Black be the first Black president. Not just a shallow Black who merely sounds and looks good. Black folks and their White guilt cohorts will have some hard days ahead.

I don't have a first thing to be bitter about. That doesn't change the fact, though, that you keep coming across as ignorant.

Explains why you are up..

Edited by Aficionado

According to the Internal Revenue Service, the 400 richest American households earned a total of $US138 billion, up from $US105 billion a year earlier. That's an average of $US345 million each, on which they paid a tax rate of just 16.6 per cent.

I am shocked that California voters will vote in a ban on gay marriage, but vote against terms on abortion. #######?

You know,

I was watching coverage of the rally in Chicago before any of the returns or projections had even started, and I gotta tell you, even though I did not vote for Mr Obama, I couldn't help but look at that crowd and how excited they were and just say to myself- it would just be a bad thing if this guy didn't win.

Even if I question his policies in the future and kind of worry about that, the "human" element of his victory is so overwhelming that it just could not have been denied. I hope...I really, really hope he comes through and proves me wrong. To think I want him to fail when I have two teenage kids who will become adults under his administration is completely off.

How great this moment really is for America, in terms of our relationships with eachother is an undeniable triumph. There are so many things that this presidency can show the American people in terms of stereotypes and the proving what a man really can achieve. He has the biggest chance of bringing us closer as a country since JFK. I look forward to it.

But having said that, I don't think there has been a President with this much weight on his shoulders since maybe FDR or Lincoln. It really is that big. I'm hoping he is successful, because if he fails, it would be just an enormous fall.

I'm not going anywhere on VisaJourney. I love all yous. There's no reason to think I won't be here even after my wife gets her Citizenship, if nothing else just to say "I told you so!". But that is not what I'm hoping for. If he is able to put this country in a good place- no matter how he does it, then you know what? He's got my vote in 2012..assuming the Mayans aren't correct.

Congratulations!

The Fox-a-Bots who believed that a Muslim Obama was going to turn the USA into a socialist state and become BFF with Chavez also lost. Oh..and also those that believed pretty much that anyone with an income was going to get their taxes raised under Obama, and don't forget those that think that if Obama is elected we will welcome terrorists with open arms because they have someone on the "inside"...they also lost.

Couldn't believe the election ended that quick, Obama had 207 electoral votes, was watching Jon Stewart and thought that was a joke when he announced Obama won, but instantly switched to Fox, that verified that Obama had won. When Fox reported that Obama had won, knew it was true.

Actually was switching constantly between Fox, CNN, PBS, MSNBC, ABC, CBS, NBC, and CSpan. Very tired of listening to speculators, in particular, this election would be so close with voter fraud and end up in the courts for the next six months. Have to say that America finally spoke, and spoke loud.

I like John, but pleased Sarah is going back to Alaska, now if he picked, Ron Paul?
