Still waiting on my biometrics and Interview

Arghhh Uscis (a.k.a. useless) really frustrates me at times. I always get to speak to really nice people but it doesn't solve my problems. Basically I have been calling every single month now since missing my biometrics appt in June due to illness to get a new appt notice. I have spoken to agents and officers and to no avail. They keep on sending out a service request to the center to get a new notice and it doesn't happen.

I know that we have been also selected randomly for an interview and we can't do that until we do the biometrics, so it frustrates me further arghhhh.

Do you think that its time to get the senator involved? I just keep on being told to call back every month if I haven't got the appt notice. Its getting tiresome now!

I-130 for both parents

March 28th 2013 - Priority date/ NOA 1
November 14th 2013 - Transferred to Nebraska Service Center

January 7th 2014 - Case changed online to approved for both

January 8th 2014 - case changed to shipped to NVC

January 9th 2014 - case changed to NOA 2 mailed

January 10th 2014 - Received the hardcopy of the NOA 2 stating that NVC would issue a case number in 30 days approx.

January 21st 2014 - Case Received at NVC

February 26th 2014 - Case numbers and IIN number received - Wrong embassy code assigned...now waiting for new case numbers.

March 3rd 2014 - Filled in DS-261 for both parents

March 5th 2014- AOS available, paid and submitted AOS packet.

March 6th 2014 - USPS shows packet was delivered at NVC

March 10th 2014 - AOS shows as paid in the CEAC portal/AOS logged into system as being received by NVC.

March 11th 2014 - New case number assigned for my Dad.

March 20th 2014 - Paid IV fee for my Mum.

March 25th 2014 - AOS accepted by NVC with no checklist.

March 26th 2014 - Filled in and submitted DS-260 for my Mum

March 31st 2014 - AOS found in my Mum's file for my Dad - accepted and placed into his file/IV fee available for my Dad and Paid.

April 1st - Mailed all civil documents to NVC for both parents.

April 3rd: IV fee shows as paid in portal/submitted DS-260 for my Dad.

April 22nd: checklist issued for civil documents - NVC error ...

April 23rd: sent another certified copy of my marriage certificate

April 24th: Case complete! :)

April 30th 2014 - Medical scheduled for parents at Knightsbridge in London

June 11th: Interview at London Embassy - Approved :)

01-06 - I-130, K3 shortly after

04-06 - switched to Canada Immigration

07-06 - Moved to Canada (PR almost complete)

07-06 - Changed again, back to US imm.

09-06 - Landed as Canadian PR

10-06 - DCF Toronto, Approved in 1.5 hrs!

11-06 - Interview Montreal (success!)

10-05-06 DCF in Toronto - Approved

10-19-06 Packet 3 received & sent back

10-20-06 Montreal receives P3

11-03-06 Packet 4 received

11-06-06 Medical

11-22-06 Interview / Visa approved

11-26-06 heading home, 6 day drive, my oh my

12.06.08 Biometrics Appt.

12.19.08 Received new Drivers License extended to 2011

03.12.09 Received CONGRATULATIONS letter - Card on the way!!

03.20.09 Received his SHINY new card. WOO HOOOOOOO

YAY!! We can take a break from this madness until Citizenship.

At an infopass appointment they can give you a handwritten biometrics appointment notice - sometimes even for the same day. I would suggest going to your local office and asking them to do that.

Timeline for Naturalization:

Day 1: Application delivered to AZ

Timeline for Removing Conditions:

Green card received 117 days after application was delivered to USCIS

Timeline for AOS:

Green card received 120 days after application was delivered to USCIS

I would make an infopass appointment. Sometimes going in person makes a difference.

Mailed N-400 March 6th via priority certified mail and Rec'd 9th (confirmation by USPS)

NOA rec'd: 3/19/2009 (date 3/16/2009, priority 3/9/2009)

Biometrics rec'd 3/26/2009, appt 4/9/2009

IL: 5/22/09

Thanks everyone for the advice. I think thats exactly what we will do. I'll give them until the start of Dec and then if I don't get anything at that time, we will make an infopass appt. Our local office is in Dallas and we live about an hour and a half away otherwise it would be easy to just go. Plus I have horrid morning sickness right now so another few weeks of waiting won't hurt :P .

As far as I know, you can take your initial biometrics notice and get your biometrics done on a walk-in-basis. Basically they need the notice to scan your case number. (When I posted earlier for some reason I didn't realize that you had your initial notice.)

I would suggest going in and trying a walk-in asap. Technically, missing a biometrics appointment is grounds for starting deportation proceedings.

Tried the walk-in and they refused to let me do it (that was back in June a few days after the original appt). They have so many notes on this case from all my calls that the officer who I spoke to yesterday actually said that nobody would ever think the case was abandoned with the missing biometrics appt that seems to never arrive in my mail box. That was my biggest concern and I'm glad to see that they are actually taking notes and logging them!
