Surviving Morning Sickness

Thanks Julia! I didn't know some of those things. I have noticed when I get hot the nausea is much worse. It's always really bad after I get out of the shower because I get way to hot in there. Plus, I'm wondering if that was my problem this morning. Every time I woke up last night I was burning up. That probably didn't help matters. I don't think I've been drinking enough water either. My biggest thing is I just want to want food again. Nothing seems appetizing to me. :crying:

No cravings for anything? :( I really hope you get better soon, Sweetie!

Booty, get yourself a fan for your room at night...it will help. Don't use lots of heat in the house either - not good. Your showers should be not too hot. It will make you sick and can raise your internal temperature, which is not good for the babies. Have you tried crackers - like crackers with cheese or something??? Peanut butter, maybe??

When I was in culinary school there was a pregnant lady in one of my classes and she always ate that crystallized ginger candy.

She made cookies with that in them too. They were actually pretty good.

Well, my problem is I freeze to death most of the time. I just have hot flashes. Also, right now I am forced to take hotter than normal showers because something is wrong with our faucet in our shower. If you don't turn it on hot enough the water pulses instead of coming out in a straight stream. I think we need a new faucet. Unfortunately there aren't any funds for that so I'm making do. I tried doing the cracker thing. They gagged me. Peanut butter is ok but I can't do cheese. I can't really do any kind of meat either except chicken. Right now I'm basically surviving on apples, bananas, trail mix, and fast food like chicken tenders and pizza.

Julia: I've had a few cravings but nothing that sticks around. I eat something one time then the next time I think about eating it I get sick to my stomach.

Just couldn't stay my @ss away!

I've heard about that. I am not really sure where I could find it around here though. I'll have to check into it.

They have it at the grocery store here with all the baking stuff.

I doubt they would have it here in our grocery stores. Remember, I live in the boonies.

I live in the boonies-ish. Probably not as much as you though :P

You can also make ginger tea. Just buy fresh ginger and infuse a few fresh slices in hot water and with a bit of fresh lemon.

I drink that at work quite often.

I'll have to try that one too. We're going to the grocery store tonight so I'll check and see if I can find any of that ginger candy too.

It's good, boosts your metabolism and immune system!

I am watching CSI New York. Besides the fact that it's a little too graphic for me, I noticed that the theme song sounds an awful lot like the Baywatch music.

Some kids were just returned to their parents, so of course I am all teary. I am a sucker for stuff like that.
