It's supposed to snow here again tomorrow. I dread it. I have a doctor's appt in Charlotte at 9:30. I hate having to drive down the mountain in snow.

don't you have a 4 wheel drive?

Yeah we do. It's not us I worry about. It's all the other idiots out on the road that makes me nervous. We get all kinds around here, especially since we're a ski resort town. Those people just can't drive in the snow. Plus, we've got all the idiots that have lived here there whole lives and never owned a 4-wheel drive who also think it's ok to get out and go for no particular reason.

who needs a 4WD?

Just a good FWD with decent tires will suffice ... that is if the driver has any brains/ common sense. Oh wait .. should have read your post better

Grew up in New England ... learned to drive with RWD. Lived in Chicago for one winter and got a kick out of watching idiots with 4WD go blasting their way into the median ...

Yeah, around here you can just chalk it up to idiots on the road. Even in 4-wheel drive they run all over the place. They seem to think 4-wheel drive means they can stop on a dime if something happens in front of them. They fail to realize that's not the purpose of 4-wheel drive. You can't just go ba-hooting it down the road. You still have to drive carefully. 4-wheel drive just makes it easier for them to get out of that ditch they end up in because they are idiots and can't drive in the first place.

Just couldn't stay my @ss away!

the idiots can have all the ditch time they can afford. ... as long as they stay away from my car.

My thoughts exactly. That's why I worry on the road. It's not my driving or Javi's driving that scares me. It's all the other idiots out there. They can just stay away from me. Unfortunately that's not always how it works. I've had one car totaled already from a stupid lady being out when she shouldn't have been. She hit us head on because she was going down a hill, hit the brakes, started skidding, and forgot if she'd just taken her foot off the brake she could have straightened it back out and not hit us.

Just couldn't stay my @ss away!
