That is great news!! I hope her interview is SOON!!! Best of luck to you, too, Rasta.

My fiance's passport and police certificate arrived via DHL at the consulate Tuesday. (He was told at the DHL office the consulate would call him when they were ready for whatever comes next.) I emailed yesterday to confirm receipt...no word back yet. Waiting, waiting.

congratulations, all the best going forward.

Ok, so I am starting a Nairobi Embassy thread, since there doesn't seem to be one yet, and there is minimal info about the embassy itself (VJ doesn't even include it in the list of consulates, so it's not searchable in the database...)

Here is the info so far (anyone with additional info, please update!)

Nairobi Embassy info here: <a href="http://www.visajourney.com/consulates/index.php?ctry=Kenya&cty=Nairobi,%20Kenya" target="_blank">http://www.visajourney.com/consulates/inde...airobi,%20Kenya</a>

Nairobi Embassy Reviews: <a href="http://www.visajourney.com/reviews/index.php?cnty=Kenya" target="_blank">http://www.visajourney.com/reviews/index.php?cnty=Kenya</a>

Let's use this thread as a place to share stories and information! <img src="http://www.visajourney.com/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/good.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="good.gif" /> <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/good.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="good.gif" /> <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/good.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="good.gif" />

My fiance is from Uganda and will be going to Nairobi for his medical and interview. So far, we are still waiting for our NOA2...

She should be able to answer that question quickly to be honest...I doubt the CO is going to want to hear "Ummm, we didn't know if we'd get approved so we didn't make any definite plans..." Not good. Talk about it quick and decide on something. Pick a date within the next few months even it's it a estimate...nothing needs to be set in stone, but you need to know what to answer if asked.

We didn't get asked this but we did have a response ready just in case. We planned to say that we would be married within 90 days of Sifa's arrival in the US, exact date pending, by my pastor at my parents' house. Have you thought about how you would do it at all? You don't have to give them an exact date - obviously that would be impossible. But I think more what they are after is that you've given some thought to it. Are you planning to marry at the courthouse? At home? In a church? If you haven't had that discussion, perhaps you should before the interview. It's a good thing to discuss anyway - 90 days goes by pretty quick! I didn't start really planning a TON until the visa was approved but we had a rough idea in mind of how we wanted it to go and what we needed to do.
