I'm preparing to schedule my fiance's appointment (yay!) and the only DHL locations listed to pick up the visa on the consulate website are in Kenya. Does anyone know if you are required to pick up your visa from a DHL in Kenya? (My fiance is from Uganda and we're considering sending it there, if possible, but although others on this thread have mentioned it IS possible, from what I can see it looks like it's not...) Thanks all!

denied nairobi, officer wants more pictures even though we have plenty

she wants a dna test for my son to prove that i willl take care of him{ i thought thats the reason for affidavit of support}

she wants wedding plans with dates guests, we are doing a court wedding.

questions asked

when did you meet?2009

how did you meet ?thru a friend at a party

when did he divorce? 2011

why are you not getting married in kenya, answer his siblings are abroad.

who is the father ? he is

why is he not on the birth cert? she was unsure of the father.

are you sure now? yes,

who is it ? him

we need dna test from you. whhoooow another 1200$, and more photos and evidence of marriage plans

child born abroad in my case will not give my son citizenship as he was born after i got my citizenship so he would not qualify.

they said if i am not the father i will not take care of her son, i mean how many people petition for step sons. he also wants the child to be registered as citizen born abroad, which does not apply in my case. officer didnt take time to review the file properly

Did anyone else take their X-ray after the medical? Is there something you're supposed to do with it? We are confused. :(

Yes, you take it with you to the interview, and then they will give it to you to carry with you. Supposedly you need to hand carry it with you on the plane, NOT in checked bags, because immigration wants to look at it when you land in the US but Sifa was not asked for it and I have never read on VJ about anyone being asked for it ever. Sifa's is in the top of one of our closets, ha.

it is Possible , what you can do is choose a DHL location in kenya. Call them and tell them you would like your package be sent to Uganda via DHL,at an additional fee of course i guess. and Thats it.

Haha, sorry for the delay - we were approved! :) For questions, they asked how we met, how we communicated, info about our wedding plans, and I think that's it... they did look at our I-134 and ask about our co-sponsor. The CO was very nice and wished Yaasir luck in the US. We almost were unable to have the interview because the people at the 2nd security checkpoint kept his appointment letter and he needed it for the interview. But luckily they found the one he had brought to the medical. I think we were delayed a little because of that - we went in right at 7, waited for about an hour to go through the second security point, and then he was finished around 11:30 or so.
