We are fine ! busy with work and preparation of my SO's arrival. Coming to meet my parents.

I'm doing ok! I'm recovering from a terrible cold that took my voice away for a couple days, but other than that, things are moving along! I am so excited I'm leaving for Uganda NEXT THURSDAY!!! Almost a week away....wow. I haven't seen my SO in 7 and 1/2 months and I am soooo excited....

Right now I am busy organizing our reception event for our upcoming wedding in March, and getting everything ready (documents, presents, etc) to go back over.

How are YOU? I expect you'll be hearing something soon! Vermont is processing August filers now!

I wish you luck!!! Don't worry, I will update you all as soon as we have the medical and interview :thumbs:

Hello All,

Life is good here. Just working a lot with interest rates dropping and new mortgage programs coming along all the time. I am a project manager for a large mortgage company. I am also a student working on my Masters, so it is finals this week. My wife is graduating with her Masters on the Dec. 19th. So I am busy planning a party for her as well putting together a nice romantic evening for her birthday on Dec. 13th. So between all that and Christmas, I am broke and stressed out. But what can you do but keep going.

On the visa front, we are still waiting to hear our petition for her 10 year green card. We filed back in June, so it should be any day now. But I have heard of cases taking up to a year. I can not complain though, at least we are together and working towards our mutual goals. So all in all.......... things could not better.

I really hope everyone has a joyous and peaceful Holiday season and wonderful 2009!!!!!!!!!!

Shefell- are are planning on going to Kenya for the interview? I am planning to. Maybe we will be there around the same time our timelines are very close.

Madwoman- I saw the vermont Aug approvals, hoping CSC kicks out something soon. It seems like with the ability to set our own interview date and medical everything should be able to go pretty quick from there on out. I can't wait to see my Allan. It feels like I kind of hit a wall in the last week or two. Allan got really sick with malaria, I wish I could have been there with him. The phone connection has been terrible lately I feel like we haven't really talked in like a month. I just can't wait any longer.

I am hoping to have Allan go to the medical a couple days before I come, then I fly in on a weekend and we have our interview the following monday or tue. Hopefully can be approved and get the visa and then spend a week togeather in Uganda before flying home together. We are hoping to have some sort of pre-wedding reception there, but it will probably thrown together last min.

I know EXACTLY what you are feeling. My wall was a few months ago. I totally broke down when we got cut off for the third time in a row. It is really difficult to maintain good communication over the phone from such a long distance. But the good thing is that there is an end in sight. And once you get your NOA2 it goes SO much faster! I just want you to know that you are in my thoughts and you have a friend here! I will be in Uganda until the first or second week of February so if you are going to be there during that time--let me know!

As long as my NOA2 comes sometime soon I am hoping to schedual the interview the first or second week of Feb. I am not spending another holiday (even if it is just valantines) alone.

So if I am there we should grab coffee at Rwenzori cafe, or better yet dinner at Mamba point!!

Also my other fav. indulgence in Ugandan is a massage at the golden lilly 40,000 sh/ for an hour and 1/2 and it is like a western massage parlor. 3 hour pedicures and Sparkles are great too....Sorry just missing luxaries Ugandan style

Hello All,

Just checking in............

Glad to see everyone seems to be in great spirits!!!! We are getting close to our NOA2.....the two August approvals at VSC have been exciting and I'm hoping for our approval soon. My fiance and I have been working on all the necessary forms for the interview so we will be ready. We do not want any delays......the distance is torturing us!!!!

But, overall, everything is well.

AAAAAAAHHHHHHHHH........okay the post above was from last night before bed......I just woke up and checked this morning and I had an email in my inbox from USCIS saying we were sent an approval notice on 12/11.........I'm excited and shaking and about to be late for work!!!!!

I GOT MY NOA2!!!!.....I think I will start Calling the Embassy around Jan 15, hopefully it will get through NVC by then. :dance:
