Oh, and about the emails...I included some of just one or two replys back and forth as well as LONG ones that included hours of conversation just so they could see how we conversed back and forth, and for how long, etc. I probably included maybe five of those altogether. I double sided all of them.

Thats exactly what i presented yesterday during my K_1 visa interview at the nairobi embassy but it worked in a negative way towards me,the Lady who interviewed wondered to why i was keeping records all the way from April and said that it seems i was preparing for the visa for a long time.

So based on that i got a straight denial

I had my interview yesterday at the Nairobi embassy,i was interviewed by a consular on window number 8,she started by asking me how i met my fiance? How old and how did i convice him to come and meet me?

She then asked me how we communicate? As soon as i pulled out my oovoo video shots and call logs ,she just yelled what the hell is this? she didn't even look at them, Then she said that how come i have records from way back in April,That i shows thhat ive been preparing for the visa for a long time and then she just pulled out a red #### marked failure to prove bonafide relationship and petition will be sent back to DHS office

She didn't give me the time to answer anything or even show her any paperwork that.Am so dissappointed i can't believe i was judged so wrongly like that by someone who doesn't even know either of us.

She ruined our happiness after putting so much time, emotion into this.

My fiance has tried emailing the embassy requesting for a reschedule but i don't think theres any chance.

Any one please advice

The emails I was referring to were the ones that we sent in with the I-129F package...not at the Embassy level. However, we did bring emails with us to show an ongoing relationship, but were not asked to provide them.

Providing emails from back from April until now only show an ongoing relationship...I'm not sure why she suggested anything else. If she didn't look at them, how did she know you had emails from April?? Were they included in your original petition package?

Your fiance can try emailing them, but you may have to get married and then apply for a spouse visa and go through the process again. The CO's are tough...I don't know why she gave you such a hard time. I think I know who she was...Ben had her. Was she a blond woman in her late 20's early 30's? If so, yea.....she's a really tough nut to crack. I'm sorry you are going through this.

Was there anything else that happened during the interview that could have caused the denial??

Yes its a blonde chic who looks to be in her late 20s.she actually didn't see any emails i showed her my oovoo call records that showed all the way from April thats why she wondered why i was keeping such records,i told her its on a computer my fiance sent me the records and theres no other way he could do screen shots of some leaving out others.

Secondly she asked me how i convinced him to come and meet me?that was kinda an insult to me,she gave me the impression that i seduced him.

Then she asked me where we met an i told her online then she said that i went online basically looking for an american,i told her i was on an african dating site and wasn't specific in my search but she was just moving up and down hence turning a deaf ear.

See? I KNEW it was the blonde woman...she can be extremely hard...but, other people have had her and had no issues at all  I am sorry for everything. Did she ask if your Fiance was with you and how many times he's visited?

Hey Dorah, sorry about that. Sometimes the CO's at the Nairobi Embassy are so insensitive. I dont know why she said that having records from April was preparing for the visa for a long time. I remember when i had my interview in August 2010, i presented my call logs which were one year old and the CO had no problem with that. Guess she judged you wrong. The embassy will get back to your fiance in three business days. I would suggest he calls the embassy using this number

from here in the US +1 703 439 2302 or +254-020-363-6622 Mon-Thur 1:00pm to 3:00pm, Fri. 9:00 am to 11:00 am . He will be able to talk to them and they will explain why the visa was denied. Make sure he has your Nairobi case number when he calls. All the best.

I'm not sure about the wrong date and being given another interview based on that (I wouldn't think that qualifies for another interview?)...I would take Nyosh's advice. Have your fiance call them at the times listed by Nyosh and speak to the consular section. This is just my opinion, but, I truly feel that particular Consular Officer (the blonde woman) is extremely harassing...really, and she shouldn't be allowed to get away with what she gets away with. Ben had her and she was extremely rude to him and said really nasty things to him, BUT...thank GOD, she granted him his visa (I think the reason she was so pissed off was because his papers were stamped "approved" before she even started on him...maybe that got her angry because she had no say in the decision????). I could have called to complain about her, but I chose not to...I had enough by that point. I don't know what else to say about your situation other than I'm sorry you were treated that way and I'm sorry for what you're going through. Your fiance should call and see what he can accomplish that way. Good luck with everything.

Dora Sorry to hear that your interview did not go well.

Stay calm, have your fiance contact the embassy immediately,( calls and emails). If you don't achieve any success, you two can go ahead and marry in Africa and have your fiance file for you as a wife. It may take an additional 6 - 12 months, but i think its worth it.

Dora sorry for the denial.

Have you fiance contact them by emails and phone calls. If that fails I suggest you consider other options such as marrying in Africa and filing(wife petition). If you need any further help, don't hesitate to contact us.

Also, one more thing...you still have quite a lot of forms to fill out before your interview can be scheduled and you can find all of those forms on the US Embassy website/Nairobi. You can schedule your own interview once all forms are completed, and you've paid the visa fee. Your interview won't likely be for approximately another month and half or so depending upon when you complete your forms and the Embassy interview schedule, etc. Once we completed all forms and paid the visa fee, we scheduled our interview and only had to wait about two and half weeks for the interview

Hi,

Sorry to burst in.

From what I understand, you traveled to Kenya with all completed documents, paid for the visa fee, schedule for the interview, wait two and half weeks, have medical exams in between (right?) and finally go on interview. That's a long trip! What about those who live far away and can't stay that long in Kenya?

Hi there,

I scheduled for the medicals just 3 days before the actual day,i traveled to Kenya the day before then had my medicals done on jan-23 and 24,i paid the visa fee at post bank on the first day after the medicals then i managed to schedule for the interview online a few hours after depositing the fee at the bank.

I had my interview on Jan-26, just 2days after the medicals.

so i basically did all in less than a week, the whole process is fast if planned accordingly.

Hope that helps.

Hi...you're not bursting in...welcome to the thread :)

I am the petitioner and was blessed enough to have that time in Kenya. We didn't plan it that way really, it just happened. I did plan on being there for the interview, but I had already planned my travel, then low and behold, we received our NOA2, and then everything else fell into place. I was originally just going to Kenya for a visit, and then was going to go "back again":blink::wacko: lol ~ for the interview. You can try to do what Dorah28 did if it's possible for you. It's hard when you don't live in Kenya, but have to interview there, etc. We waited the two and a half weeks because we had no choice...there were no interview openings until then. Dorah28 was fortunate enough to get it so quickly :)

I hope all works out for you and if you need anything, just ask. Be blessed.
