Good morning. I have a question please. My fiancé just paid $490 USD for his medical exam fee & vaccinations at the IOM in Nairobi. That cost seems exorbitant! Has anyone else paid that much?

Yes they can be that high my husband's were around $300 but he got some shots from his local village and they only gave him the flu shot {to make some money}, at IOM.

The warmth of true friendship and the love that binds the hearts of husband and wife are a foretaste of heaven. God has ordained that there should be perfect love and perfect harmony between those who enter into the marriage relation. Let bride and bridegroom in the presence of the heavenly universe pledge themselves to love one another as God has ordained they should. {LYL}

Thought to share our journey for those who need the encouragement!

For my fiance, I objected to why so many vaccinations given even though they are an adult? Giving Children so many vaccines at the same time is a problem. (PS I am NOT an anti-vaccine person) They even gave him Yellow fever vaccination. I was WTH?

I am really nervous,keep waking up. I know it's just an hour or so before I hear from him concerning the results of his K1visa interview. We have invested so much time,so many resources into this process and more importantly,so much faith that love will be the determining factor of success. Maybe I am more excited than nervous because I am confident that we will have success today. ♡

I am so excited to report a successful conclusion to our K-1 Visa Interview Appointment at the Nairobi embassy yesterday. I have updated my blog to include my fiance's detailed account of his interview experience. Just go to fiancevisauganda.wordpress.com to read it. I think it is too long to post in this forum but I will see if I can. Happy Day!?

Congratulations! Very happy for you both. And thanks so much for posting such a detailed account on the blog. My husband (his appointment is in less than 3 weeks) read it and it really helped him feel calmer about the interview.

My wife had her interview this week, she's waiting for her passport. We filed her CR 1 I-130 in March this year. It's been lot's of 'hurry-up-and-wait' kind of a process. From filing to Chicago lockbox and the case being transferred to Potomac. To trying to expedite the case and the request being denied. It's been a roller coaster of emotions but we are happy it's over. The only issue she had was they asked her for my IRS Transcripts. The Kenyan who looks over documents before the interview did but the American was able to override on the issue. Now to plan the move once visa is in hand.

Filed I-130 : 11 Mar 2016

I-130 Priority date : 15 Mar 2016

Approved: 03 Jun 2016

Case Complete: 24 Aug 2016

Interview date assigned: 29 Sep 2016

Interview: Nov 2016
