Everyone is down and out. Except the oil companies.

Lady, people aren't chocolates. Do you know what they are mostly? Bastards. ####### coated bastards with ####### filling. But I don't find them half as annoying as I find naive bobble-headed optimists who walk around vomiting sunshine.

Heard about this first thing this morning on NPR.

After a few days of not turning the radio on because it was increasing my anxiety level, I listened for an hour today...and then went outside with my "bo" and swung/twirled it around for 2 or 3 hours at North (Avenue) Beach. Got the "demons" out of me.

Stretched and felt "normal" for a bit.

Anxiety is back now.

I cannot wait for this ridicelection to be over!

Then on to the next "problem".

We are full of 'em.

SpiritAlight edits due to extreme lack of typing abilities. :)

You will do foolish things.

Do them with enthusiasm!!

Don't just do something. Sit there.

Yeah they have been as such pretty much for about the last 5 years- from about the time they decided to kill associate commissions in favor of lower-paid, lower skilled labor. Ironically it wasn't a problem for Best Buy since they had that sales model a lot longer and a much larger investment base to cover extremely poor customer service.

I don't think CCity will be going out of business yet as a retailer... but this is not a good sign. The Chicago store closing is ironic since- at least during the times I was there PT as a Loss Prevention Consultant it actually led its entire district in sales percentages to budget and usually creamed the Best Buy store it directly competed with.

On the flip side... the sales should be interesting. More signs of the times.

Dude... they cut about 3K employees in 2003, another 5K in 2007... just to increase their bottom line. Now they are paying the piper for really horrible corporate decisions.

Wishing you ten-fold that which you wish upon all others.

Best Buy pushes their low-wage employee until they have no more sex life!

Best Buy isn't Best Buy anymore, use to go in there with internet prices and ask if they would like to tie that price, always did, not anymore. Wife wanted an MP3 player for Christmas, Best Buy wanted 200 bucks, well, $199.99, got the same exact model number from Amazon with free overnight shipping for $139.99. And extremely difficult to walk to the part of the store for an item I am looking for without being high pressured by a dozen salespersons or assistants, whatever they call them now, while trying to get back there. Same at Circuit City. And 40 bucks for a two buck USB cable? All accessories are priced way out of line. Ha, 30 bucks for an inkjet, use to include the USB cable, now 40 bucks extra, get two third full cartridges, replacements are 70 bucks, must think we are all stupid.

But whatever you buy, or how much you pay for it, worthless, when you walk out the door. Thought new vehicle prices were ridiculous, since I was in that field, with automation and mostly throwaway components, actually cost less to make a vehicle today than 30 years ago, but the prices are ten times higher.

Peace to All creatures great and small............................................

But when we turn to the Hebrew literature, we do not find such jokes about the donkey. Rather the animal is known for its strength and its loyalty to its master (Genesis 49:14; Numbers 22:30).

Ha, what's really funny is their large collection of CD's and having to pay 15 bucks just to get one song when you can purchase an MP3 legally for a buck off the net. Was looking for classical music, a young girl came up to help me, said I was looking for classical music, she took me to the 50's Rock and Roll section.

I was given word about Circuit City stock (CC) last Monday, 10/27, when it was .25 a share. For some reason the news is boosting the stock. Right now it is trading for .41 a share. Should have got some!

I'm sorry for your friends. We were just in one in St. Louis. They were really nice and helpful and we got a GREAT price on an iPod. I'm happy to see that store is safe for now.

Exactly... they had a store meeting on Sunday and the Store Director found out about 30 minutes before letting the employees in for the meeting. Same thing happened in 2007 when they let go almost 5K employees. It is truly ironic that a company known for beating the ####### out of Best Buy in the customer service department (not a lot to say on some occasions) values its employees this way. But it is a business and the shareholder is always going to be the bottom line above all other considerations.

The person I trained to be LPC just wrote me. You can only imagine what it says. He even told me how the company is letting go people it re-hired at lower pay (managers included) in the 2007 cuts. This I find to be priceless.

I hope my old manager friends that won't be working there anymore work tomorrow cause I am going in to see if they hook me up on liquidation inventory before closing for good.

Wishing you ten-fold that which you wish upon all others.
