I can't believe it!!! Exactly after 1 week of getting my I-129F approval from USCIS, the NVC sent me a letter dated 10/29/08 that they have forwarded the information to the consulate in Mexico and we should expect to hear word in about a week!!! That is quick!!! I am shocked! Our government actually works sometime!!!! :blink::star::thumbs:

01/27/2007 My fiancee and I met in Mexico (her not speaking english and me speaking little spanish).. love works in great ways, huh?

04/30/2007 I proposed to my fiancee and we started investigating how to bring her to the states

05/20/2007 She tells me she's pregnant! wow.....

01/00/2008 I find out that Divorce is not too easy in Mexico (for her)

02/08/2008 Mikael Rene is born

04/15/2008 Divorce papers finally delivered

05/00/2008 Lawyer is processing paperwork (with a hefty pricetag)

06/13/2008 K-1 papers files with my immigration lawyer

06/18/2008 NOA1 Receipt!

08/20/2008 Waiting.........this really sucks (waiting)

10/22/2008 NOA2 Receipt!! Yes! Finally!

10/29/2008 NVC Received!!!! Forwarded to Consulate!!

November Called Consulate to find out status of Packet 3 and was told that it was sent on November 3rd

11/28/2008 Still no packet 3

12/02/2008 My attorney calls me and says that the packet has arrived

12/12/2008 I will have all my information ready to go to the consulate next week!!! Yahhhh

Congratulations, you are one step away from receiving the Visa! :thumbs:

I wish that I could tell you things move just as quickly at the consulate. The NVC letter is telling you that they will forward your approved petition to the consulate within a week but that does not necessarily mean the consulate will be contacting you by that time. I would suggest you wait a week and then call the consulate to make certain they have received your approved petition and then ask when they would be mailing your packet. Unfortunately it is still a bit of a waiting game but not nearly as long as USCIS. My fiance and I have been waiting 6 weeks for an invitation letter from the consulate....some arrive quickly, others take months. :wacko:

I wish you all the luck, you have made it past the biggest hurdles. You can go to the Juarez Consulate website and download the necessary forms now and start filling them out. :star:
