I haven't been able to track mine either, but my interviewer said they were mailing them that day or today at the latest.

I think we all had the same interviewer... he said that to us too.

When I was getting my passport shipped the tracking site gave me no information until I physically had the visa in my hand. Then I got an e-mail (I signed up for alerts) that said, "your package was received at 9:45am"... this was at 5 in the afternoon :P

Hey everyone,

So I take it that having the most recent tax return, letter from employers and a couple of paystubs will suffice? Someone said to bring three years of tax returns, W2's and 8 paystubs, but I didn't see that on a sample packet 3. Thanks a lot!

That's just people being overly prepared and slightly paranoid. We brought the last 3 years to be safe, but there is nowhere that specifically says you need them. We had like 4 paystubs on top of the tax into, an employer letter and a letter from the bank with account information.

If your fiance makes well above the poverty line, then what you have will definitely suffice.

We just brought:

-letter from employer

-Paystubs

-his W2 (but not his tax return)

-A bank statement showing a significant amount of savings (although i think we would've been fine without this)

And that's it! We didn't show any tax returns and we were fine.

Removing Conditions

Sent package to VSC - 8/12/11

NOA1 - 8/16/11

Biometrics - 9/14/11

Thanks for the helpful information. It certainly saves my fiance a lot of trouble trying to dig out a lot of info. Plus, he's moving from New York to Indy, so things will likely be misplaced yet again.

You do need 1 year's worth of income tax returns for your AOS, so just tell him to keep those in a safe place!

So... I know posts have been made re: contacting the Montreal Consulate regarding their interview date (before the interview letter is sent out).

My question is this: do I contact this email address-Montreal-IV-DV@state.gov (with my case # etc...)? Or is there a better way to go about finding out my interview date?

Any and all info is appreciated-thanks!

The consulate will not tell you your interview date via e-mail, they just send a standard reply that your package 3 has been received and that you are on the waiting list. Best way to find out about your interview date is by calling the Department of State. Sorry I don;t have there number right now, but will repost it later, unless someoen else has it first :)
