Hi guys.. I'm having a hard time uploading a picture that's acceptable for the DS 160 online application. I keep on getting error msgs saying the head position might be wrong or photo quality problem or something along those lines... any suggestions? can i still go through the application without a picture?

Any help would be much appreciated.

Thanks sooo much =)

We had the same problem. I just kept doing the "sharpen" option in a photo editor... I can't remember if I used PhotoShop or PictureIt Express. Finally, I guess I hit "sharpen" enough that the picture was accepted. Funny thing was, the picture didn't look blurry until AFTER i had done the "sharpen" thing about a gazillion times and then compared that to the original. Good luck!

Yeah the picture looks blurry after you have uploaded it and it's accepted. But you will notice on your print out receipt that it's small and clear. My husband got the digital version when he got his passport photos and used that. He didn't have any problems uploading it.

Like July09Bride said, it has to be very clear. Other than sharpening the photo, make sure you took it with flash light or under very bright condition. I had the same problem, the picture we took under indoor light looked fine on our computer, but DS160 won't accepted it. Took another with flash light eventhough we don't seem to need it and then sharpen the photo a bit and it was fine

well I have EXTREMELY limited computer skills and was able to crop it and edit it on vista...maybe you can try that. Make sure that when you take the picture the background is white and that the lighting is good.

Nope, you're fine! You actually didn't need to send a confirmation receipt of the DS 160 either. However, I'd bring another copy of the confirmation receipt and a copy of the actual application print out to the interview with you. I was asked for both in Montreal.

Hi TDOT. Please let me know when you get your interview date. I got my NOA2 the same day as you did but I am not sending in my packet 3 until the end of July because I am leaving on vacation. Getting a few things done before my vacation like my translations and police certificate.

I'm interested to see what date you get so I can get a rough estimate when I'll get mine after sending it a month after you. Not that anything is set in stone with the consulate but at least it will give me an idea.

Anyone else who sends their packet 3 from now until mid july please keep me posted on your interview dates.

Thanks so much.

Just so you know, DoS assign a date according to the date your packet 3 was logged in their system, not according to your NOA2. So I'm afraid Tdot's Interview date will not help you much in calculating your own!

Enjoy your vacation!!!!!

Haven't done the medical already. Going to schedule it once I'm back from Florida on July 4th.

I'm just wondering how people sending in their packets at the end of June and July get their interview dates. At this point, I don't care when I get it, as long as I get it and I am approved.
