I thought for sure the last Friday of the month theory would hold up - it certainly looked possible - or at least that they would schedule something this month. Did anyone get scheduled in May? Guess now we are all looking at July or August interviews...

I’m going to choose to believe that there’s no merit to the theory and that this is just one more day - maybe we’ll get dates tomorrow….. (ok, Monday technically).

Hello all fellow Montreal interview wait people!! I think the DOS is irritated with me today, but too bad I called today llike my scheduled Monday even though I called Friday LOL. They told me there has been no changes since Friday when I called (she was not pleased). Oh well too bad!! Just wanted to let everyone know, no interview for me yet....though I figured that was going to be the reply!! Hopefully we will hear something soon though, I would like to know about my July interview before June 30. I have to purchase my airline ticket to Montreal LOL :)

Hopefully, they will be done with all of you, so that it's faster for us who filed our I-129 F's in May. It might be wishful thinking, but I really hope that my visa will be approved in October!

If you just filed for a K1 in May, you are looking at apprx 8-10 months for an actual visa approval. NOA2 came in at around 5 months for most of us. Then it's another 3 months or so through your packet 3 and to interview. I know it seems long, but I hope it goes faster for you guys :) good luck!

Yeah, I'm just hoping that the backlog goes away so that it does become faster for us. I'd really hate to spend another crazy winter here in Toronto.

Oh Hapycloud! How your news brings such sorrows.....

Tomorrow I will call - will the answer ever change?!? Is there no mercy?!?

NEVER!!! They want to make us wait FOREVER!! LOL. Actually I have full faith that we will all hear good news this month. Just need to suck it up a few more days/weeks and we will have interviews in July. There have been no April people scheduled but appears all the March people were scheduled so we should be next (based on VJ timelines).

Toronto Guy hopefully DOS is nicer to you tomorrow then they were to me today!!

Does anyone know if the interview date is determined base on what you have put down for expected travel date on DS160? Because I think I made a booboo :crying: We are applying for K1 visa and waiting for interview from Montreal since April 27, 2009, I know the average waiting time is about 2.5-4 months at the moment...but but but I have put down December as my expected time of travel! I did that so that I can have a few months making concrete plans for moving and wedding. So my question is that does that mean they will more likely to give me an interview date at later date like October?? I start to worry now because I have noticed a few people have put down a request for an interview date that would suit their travel plan and are getting it.....Please share what you have put down for your expected date of travel and when was your interview date to see if it does make a difference...am really kicking myself now :crying:

It has no bearing. Travel dates so nor expedite, unless you are a military spouse. They go by filing date. You also want to make sure you travel within 6 months, cause the visa expires.

Don't worry, it has no bearing at all. I said I was moving June 30 and got my interview in March. It goes by filing date.
