This is soooo exciting to read about the stress of the interview. I know I'll be there eventually! I already have my birth certificate translation and should receive my police certificate early next week. I will probably make an appointment for the medical next week or the week after. My fingers are burning to cal DoS, but I'll wait....

It's sooooo nice to hear you all saying that you will do a little tourism in Montreal.....It is such a beautiful city and I will miss it dearly! Have a wonderful time, and of course, hope all goes well at the interview!! :)

Oh so you are from Montreal?

I'm the non USC and I am not even Canadian, I'm French but working in Toronto so NVC sent our case to Montreal although we asked for Paris.

Saved me a plane ticket to France but added a few months of wait after NOA2

12x15 inches, it's the largest 'regional' envelope they carry.

My fiance spoke to the nice Dept. of State today. The woman he spoke to was very nice, and an immigrant herself to boot (from Russia), she said not to worry about calling every day (except, I don't think I can take it! )

She also said that it seems like Montreal does the interview scheduling in the middle of the month --which backs up the 2nd tuesday of the month theory. in which case... is it Tuesday yet?! :clock:

I hope all of us waiting get our interviews and get to the good stuff... :luv:

Hi everyone! We just received our NOA2's today! I am going for the K3 instead of the CR1 because he is from Iran, but living in Canada where we got married. The K3 will allow him to interview in Montreal. I know we are not K1, but I think the K3 process is pretty similar from this point except that we are already married. :-) From what I'm seeing here it's taking around 2 to 3 months to get an interview after you return the packet 3? Also question for anyone that had their medical in Montreal... what kind of papers do they make you sign? I read reviews and everyone says "signed some papers". What are these mysterious papers? lol

Hi ruby_Mtl!

I also have my Medical on Tuesday at Dr. Seidons. I looked at your timeline and we seem to share the similar dates. Unfortunately, VJ moderators have never replied to any of our requests to fix our timeline problems - it says we have duplicate lists, yet we have none.

I think I was supposed to be there for 7am. What about you? Maybe we'll all end up in Montreal at the same time too! :-)

How are your nerves waiting for your interview date? I feel so depressed and hopeless at this point. I always feel as though the system was designed to make us fail and give up - quite the opposite of Canadian immigration, eh? I've seen my Fiance for three days in the past 5 months due to money and inability. We thought we'd be together now, well before summer......somehow, I'm still here.

Thanks guys! Looking forward to hearing about your medical exam experience on Tuesday. I wish the U.S. immigration system was as easy as the one for Canada! I think the U.S. just has too many people trying to come here. It's a mess.

If you go for the CR1 he will also interview in Montreal.
