Yay!! Congrats you two, that's great. I can't wait to feel up my visa

I just got my Xpresspost envelope and man, the people at the post office are pretty clue less sometimes eh? I spent 10 minutes convincing her there is a sticker she can put on the envelope requiring a signature. Then she wanted to fill in the mailing address and I was like no! Just give it to me! I would love to know why it needs to be so massive....

x

Okay so i have my mailer for our interview tomorrow and the size says 390mm x 295mm and I am not sure if that is the right size since my letter says to get 314 x 394 .. but the one i have seemed to be the biggest size they have... do i have the wrong one???

Our Journey

6 June 2008- Mailed I130 to Toronto (DCF)

7 Nov 2008- I130 approved in Toronto!!

21 Nov 2008- Received Packet 3 from Montreal

4 Jan 2009- Mailed Packet back

9 Feb 2009- Medical in Toronto

24 Apr 2009- Interview in Montreal...Approved!!!

30 Apr 2009- Received Visa... few hours later crossed to border for the 6 day drive to Utah!!

6 Apr 2009- Arrived at our new HOME!!

13 May 2009- Welcome letter received

19 May 2009- Went to social security office and "applied" for SSN

22 May 2009- SS Card arrived in mail!! (I guess they did send in the paperwork at the interview...)

Unfortunately, you have the wrong one. The one you need is bigger than that one - it does exist - maybe try another post office tomorrow morning. When I was there a few people left and came back to get their envelope.

YOU DO NOT HAVE THE WRONG ONE!!!!!!!! :)

if you measure it, it is 12x15 inches... that threw me off too!

The one you have is the largest regional one they make.... I had the exact same one, and I just got it back today with my Visa... I just read the back and you my dear ARE GOOD!!!!!

RELAX....breathe... think this time tmrw you will have passed ;)

Looking at it right now: 295x390 :)

Congrats JulyBride and Poprocks!! I checked this morning and according to Canada Post mine went in the mail yesterday, so hopefully tomorrow I will get it.

Thanks! You likely will... I think they all went out the same day...but you are just a little more of a ways out :)

Let us know when you get it :)

humm, I don't know because mine does say 314x394mm right on the back. So there is a bigger one then the one you have! But if it worked for poprocks it will probably work for you. I didn't measure it to see how big it is in inches...

Measure it... the Consulate letter says that 314x394 is 12x15... well when you measure the 295x390 one, it measures 12x15... so how do you figure LOL?

Somewhere there is an error...and I went to 3 post offices and realized it was the largest one... my take on it, is perhaps Canada Post printed some in error?

I don't know, I never took the time to convert the mm's to inches.... as long as the Visa comes! lol!

ps. The day that I interviewed, 3 others (2 from here) had the same size as me)... ha! that sounds funny! :)

Ok I measured it using an industrial sized tape measure and it is 12.5 by 15.5 inches, so whatever! Close enough. Nobody would be able to tell the difference using the naked eye unless the held the envelopes beside each other. That is so weird... Keep in mind, the .5 an inch is within the tape measures margin of error :P Its meant to measure things like wood... I fished it out of my dads tool box.

You see??? weird I tell ya.... it must be an American thing lol!

My fiance always does that to me, as a joke, just to get to me... he'll see something really whacky here in Toronto and turn to me and say 'Now you see, we just don't have this in the US' HAHA! He knows it gets to me.... but the funny thing is... he even does it when we are in the US.... lol!

I had my expresspost envelope folded in half, the lady at the consulate actually unfolded, took out a ruler and measured it and then compared it to the one she had posted on the wall. GIVE Me A BREAK!! I tell ya, its the whole make them jump through hoops thing! I bought the biggest one they had, and $25 bucks later it passed the test! LOL
